Its a simple and stupid question, I know, but I just wanted to make sure. I haven’t been doing it, but do i have to check off “Embed project tempo” when rendering the .wav? Obviously you have to on the midi, but ive never checked it on the wav render.
A side question about .wav quality. Whenever I finish the song and put it on Rockband, I’m pretty sure its not my speakers are are dropping the audio quality. Is the conversion from the .flac to the .wav really cutting the quality so bad that I can’t hear bass drops? Even when I choose 384pt Sinc?
My only other theory about the quality drop is that i don’t leave the Magma files set to the default -3db, I put it at 0 every time.

FLAC and WAV are both lossless formats. The quality drop happens in Magma’s conversion from WAV to OGG. Did you change Magma’s Autio / Audio Quality from the default 5 to something higher?
June 11, 2016 at 2:59 pm #470161The only audio options in Magma that I’m aware of is the default -3.0 attenuation. Which that I’ve always set to 0 instead of -3. Could that be the problem?
June 11, 2016 at 3:20 pm #470162How many instruments are you authoring?
June 11, 2016 at 3:21 pm #470163Only the drums
June 11, 2016 at 3:31 pm #470165It seems the quality drop is mainly in the low frequencies. When a bass drop is supposed to happen, the audio just overall gets quiet.

There should actually be an audio quality option near the bottom of the second tab, the one where you enter in your .wav files. I usually set it to 6 or 7, but anything higher gives a massively oversized con file.
Also
Have you put a silent audio in the crowd track?
Doing this will almost certainly fix your problem, I had the same issue on my first custom. Just toss the same muted .wav file you use for the other instruments into the crowd track.
June 14, 2016 at 5:55 pm #470323This is what my Magma looks like. I don’t see the crowd option or the quality option
June 14, 2016 at 6:07 pm #470324It seems you’re using Magma v2, as opposed to MagmaC3. That may also be part of the issue.

You really need to read the authoring docs though before working on this or asking questions, because otherwise you are gonna waste other people’s time and it’s not polite.
” src=”/wp-content/uploads/invision_emoticons/default_SA_wink.gif”>June 15, 2016 at 1:52 am #470339I apologize. Its just, I’ve been authoring for years now. I wasn’t aware that there was new things to learn really. Also, I will admit that I’m really not smart about forums.
