they are. i have them. something like 38 different tracks for the song? I never could make heads or tails of it since when combined they did not add up to the song I had in the mp3 but something similar.

 

if you could take those stems and build something that sounds like the final song and I can use the stems with the song, I can send them your way.

There are some things the remix stems don’t have which the master recording does. So a lossless copy of that song would be the next thing to do to mix and expose them.

for the very few that follow my releases and not anyone elses, here’s something…

 

Here it is…my take on the Super Mario Bros. song. Used MrMet’s chart as a base.

Changes:

- improved audio

- improved charts, separating each instrument better

- animations for all players

- removed vocals chart (there are no vocals in this song...)

- custom practice sessions with the name of each world theme (i.e. Overworld, Underworld, Waterworld, Star Power)

- custom venue / camera / lighting to hopefully match the different parts of the game

- re-done metadata to more accurately reflect the song info...I know MrMet prefers the Video Games sorting, I don't, you can have both songs or change it however you want

- lower difficulties

- redone overdrive and unison markers and drum fills

 

Considering the amount of changes I would suggest having both MrMet’s version and mine, since his is most likely more “fun” while I tried to make mine more “accurate” (not really possible considering the entire thing was recording with an electronic keyboard in 1985, but hey, I tried).

 

The EMHX was done in a not-so-inspired way…god I hate doing reductions…but it’s there. And so are my custom practice sessions!

awesome list, how come you don’t put them on the song database?

Because the majority of these aren’t up to C3 standards. These are old. Some of them are very old. I’m slowly bringing them up to standards. That’s why you’ve seen (and will continue for the next few months) to see these songs coming out as From the Vault releases. They’re being majorly improved, so I wouldn’t really recommend downloading them now, or if you do, make sure to update when they come out through C3. Trust me, the difference is huge.
