I was wondering how to set how long the song is in reaper. When I put my custom into RB3 it is 5:44 long when my song is only 3 minutes. In game the song ends but the game doesn’t end for another few minutes.

I was wondering how to set how long the song is in reaper. When I put my custom into RB3 it is 5:44 long when my song is only 3 minutes. In game the song ends but the game doesn’t end for another few minutes.

REAPER just goes by whatever the last thing is – audio track or MIDI track. If you want to make your MIDI tracks shorter, select them all, go to the end, and drag them to the left to make them smaller.

 

Magma goes by the [end] marker in the EVENTS track. Make sure there aren’t any MIDI notes or events past that.

Make sure you’re exporting the tempo when exporting your MIDI, too; otherwise it exports at the default BPM, which may be slower than your track and would stretch the length out.
