As for original soundtrack stuff, all of the Streets of Rage games have amazing soundtracks. Mega Man X series, Life Force, DOOM. I would eat this stuff up.

The Moon Stage from Ducktales would be one of the few VG soundtracks I’d get excited about.

 

Of course, I’d love “the Amazing Water” or “Paternal Horn,” 2 unheralded but amazing tracks from Nights Into Dreams.
