Another week, another Pvris song. I think this will be the last of theirs I do for a while, so I figured it should be a newer track off their upcoming album. If anybody out there likes to sing, you can thank LykaiosSparks42 for the killer vocals and harmonies!
July 24, 2017 at 6:13 pm #488314It’s Monday, that means it’s time for releases!
I wasn’t planning on this week being so big, but we’ve got 7 new tracks! The first three are a couple of emo/pop-punk tracks from bands that I’m sure are favorites around here.
Also, I promised in my WIP thread that I’d work on songs from AFI’s Sing the Sorrow next. The song’s released today were part of my backlog and had been in progress for a while. The next AFI releases from me will be from StS, so keep an eye out for those in the future!
Tune in next week for a smaller batch, two songs. A hint for each: One of the songs is by an artist who’s already had two tracks as customs (which may or may not have been charted by me), and the other is from a DJ who’s had several songs available in DJ Hero and, to my knowledge, no presence in Rock Band, officially or customs-wise. Both are electronic artists/groups.
July 25, 2017 at 3:10 pm #488394If you’re doing all this AFI, can I req “The Boy who Destroyed the World” and “Totalimmortal”?

You can! I actually started on Totalimmortal a while back, though I never finished it. I was thinking it might be fun to do the whole EP at some point, so I might get around to it sooner than later.
July 25, 2017 at 8:11 pm #488411I +1 Totalimmortal. Either the AFI version or the Offspring cover

It’ll be the AFI version. Call me an elitist, but I was never a fan of the Offspring cover
Also, there’s been a huge update to a previously released custom:
(Vocals charted by LykaiosSparks42!)

August 7, 2017 at 3:03 am #489011It’s Monday (in about an hour my time), and I’m posting this early since I won’t have the time to do it during the day. It’s a single from Falling in Reverse, and my favorite of theirs (unpopular opinion, I’m sure)
August 15, 2017 at 11:07 pm #489449The last custom was released a day early, and this one is a day late. Would’ve released it sooner, but I started a new job yesterday and worked really late, and ended up being scheduled really early this morning, so there was no time until now.
Have you ever wanted to download a virus? Not one of those bad ones, but the fun ones that fall into the House genre, and maybe have a pretty sweet collab with MOTi? Well, now you can! This week’s release is:
Vox/Harms and drums courtesy of the ever amazing LykaiosSparks42
August 16, 2017 at 11:33 pm #489496Hey guys, this is a long post, but I’ve got a couple things on the agenda.1) Bad Girls Club got a vocal update! For all those wanting to sing, cheer, and chant along, now you can! The chart is courtesy of LykaiosSparks42, and this will be a fun one for anyone who enjoys vox or utilizes all three harms!! Click below to go to the database page.2) Speaking of vocal updates, I’m curious what you guys would want updated next. So, I went ahead and made a strawpoll with every custom of mine that lacks vocals.Vote for the ones you want and I’ll forward the list over to Lyka!3) The big one. I’m stopping weekly updates, at least until October. Why? Well, some time ago, I realized a bunch of songs I was working on would be perfect for a Halloween-themed release. The problem is, back then Halloween was so far away, that it didn’t make sense to hold off on only a couple songs for that long. So, I thought it’d be fun to not just have a day where I release couple songs, but several days where I release a bunch of songs! That’s right, it’s a Halloween event!Starting on the first Sunday of October, I’ll be releasing a pack of songs that’ll help get you into the Halloween spirit, and releases will follow on each subsequent Sunday. And it’s worth noting: Every band/song, in some way, is in the Halloween spirit, whether it’s the lyrical content, tone, or style of the band. There’s some variety here between the weeks, so if one week isn’t your cup of tea, the next week might be.Right now the list is in flux, so when we get closer to October and I’ve got the song list finalized, I’ll post again as a reminder. I’d also like some feedback. Does anyone think it’d be fun to have hints each week in October, allowing people to try to guess what the bands/songs are? Would you guys rather it be a surprise until they’re released? Or would you guys rather know upfront what all of them are, even if it’s just the artists involved and the song choices are kept secret? If anybody actually comes into this thread and has an opinion on this, post here and let me know!August 17, 2017 at 1:55 pm #489505Personally I know people love being surprised. But not me lol, I can be kinda impatient, so I of course would love to know what bands are being worked on. Either way, I’m looking forward to it!
September 4, 2017 at 6:20 pm #490235Hey guys,The song list is finalized for October! There’ll be 24 tracks from 15 different artists, including: AFI, Misfits, The Birthday Massacre, HIM, I Am Ghost, Dommin, Calabrese, and more!Since a fair amount of the artists have been revealed above, I’ll keep the rest of the artists and song picks close to the vest and will be dropping hints for them throughout October for each subsequent release. Expect the first batch of hints later on in the month ” src=”/wp-content/uploads/invision_emoticons/default_SA_smile.gif” />September 27, 2017 at 8:23 pm #490996Hey guys, this Sunday is officially the start of October, meaning it’ll be the start of weekly releases from me! Like I’ve said before, each week will be a pack of songs that are somehow tied to halloween, whether it be through lyrics, tone, aesthetic, etc. Since the first batch of songs will be releasing so soon, I thought it’d be fun to drop hints for each track. If all the songs are correctly guessed, then I’ll release one of the songs early! Also, if people participate and seem to be into it, I’ll continue the hints for the following weeks.
This first batch is five songs, meaning there’ll be five hints, and the unifying theme for this batch of songs is their genre. All of these bands fall under the punk/post hardcore genre, being perfect fits for Warped Tour (if they all haven’t been already).
Song 1 – “We Sleep Forever” by Aiden
This track is by a band who’s no stranger to the Rock Band games, having had several songs brought through the RBN. From their 2006 EP, this single is about self harm, inspired by their fans who wrote to them about their personal experiences of the subject. It was also on the official soundtrack for a horror movie about a ventriloquist doll! Note: NaginalJJ did the bass chart on this one (so you’re excluded from guessing)!Solved by Dangus!
Song 2
Next up we have the first single from this band’s debut 2006 album, which is a concept album about an angel and vampire falling in love and trying to find each other in the afterlife. Any keys players out there can expect to play the violin part of this song on keys, which should offer a fun challenge!
Song 3
This track is the last single by Washington based horror-rockers, coming off their third and final album from 2007. The only Abomination is that they disbanded a year or two after the release of this album.
Song 4 – “Black Rain” by Creeper
This one is by a young up and coming band out of England. Wearing their biggest influences (AFI, Misfits, Alkaline Trio) on their sleeves, they’ve managed to blend together the familiar and distinct sounds of their influencers to craft a style all their own. This track of theirs will let you know why it rains.Solved by Dangus!
Song 5
The final track of the week. The first single off their sophomore album, this track is by a band who’s no stranger to Rock Band, having both a song released through the RBN and a couple as customs (cough cough, I might’ve done one of those customs). Though, given the track title, maybe it’d have been more appropriate to release this one on the 30th instead of the 1st…
September 27, 2017 at 8:39 pm #490997So I can’t tell people that the first song is e oa ledfinewrvesepe r?
