i wish i could contribute on doing full band customs but mine is druming xd, if somebody can add more instruments to my progressive drum charts (king crimson and pink floyd) it would be awesome, you can see my drum work on sideshow youtube channel, also is nice to have a lot of rush
also guys, do you think electric light orchestra is a full progressive rock band?
August 13, 2014 at 3:25 am #426967also guys, do you think electric light orchestra is a full progressive rock band? That seems like a real stretch.
August 13, 2014 at 6:54 pm #426999The first few albums from ELO were pretty proggy. A New World Record was probably the defining album that said “We are a pop band now!” jmo.
Still good music, and even though they were very poppy after that they had great arrangements. But yeah, not a full progressive rock band.

Aw. Thanks for posting it here first. I am jacked. Any and all Genesis would be lovely. Hopefully school will keep me occupied enough that it’ll get here before I know it.
August 22, 2014 at 3:26 pm #427661WOW great week.
September 16, 2014 at 7:13 pm #429301I have yet to play any of the King Crimson official releases due to being away at school. Just thought I would share my pain with this thread.
Silver lining: There should be a TON of great songs released by the time I get to play again.
September 18, 2014 at 5:32 am #429379I’m new here, and have yet to (Officially) post any songs, but I plan on charting my favorite songs from Circus Maximus, Symphony X, and Dream Theater. I have already posted Abyss (CM) to the show floor and am about halfway done with Glory of the Empire (CM).
September 22, 2014 at 6:26 pm #429719Glad to hear Circus Maximus getting the C3 treatment!!!
September 25, 2014 at 1:51 am #429840Voting for Metropolis, Pt. 2, my all time favorite album.
Sad to not see Haken’s “Aquarius.” But I totally haven’t been dabbling in charting, or anything.

I’ll tally you up there. Feel free to give me another four albums that you would be interested in. (prog albums)
September 25, 2014 at 1:23 pm #429871I’d like to see any Van Der Graaf Generator, Camel, Yes’ Tales From Toppographic Oceans, and more Kansas especially the first 5 albums.

Well, assuming I ever get my custom set-up working, which probably won’t happen, I can’t wait!
Anyway, Haken’s “Aquarius,” Persefone’s “Spiritual Migration,” Tool’s “Lateralus,” and Lost in Thought’s “Opus Arise.” I highly recommend Lost in Thought to any Dream Theater fan (despite that they only made one album Q-Q).
Finally, do you have any updates on how “Celestial Elixir” is going at all? Thanks!

Nah, I haven’t heard anything. But I imagine charting a 16 minute song with all the crazy time signatures and keys and etc have to be pretty time consuming. I’m pretty sure he is one of the C3 guys. Who knows. Maybe a prog pack or something is in the works, just speculation though. Ha.
Although, it has been a pretty good year so far as far as prog rock on rock band goes. DT, King Crimson, the various drum only charts, etc.
