The holidays are upon us again! Whether you’re into Christmas, Hanukkah, the annual renewal of the elder gods’ dark pacts, the winter solstice, or any other celebration, it’s the season for giving and good cheer. Welcome to the second annual Twelve Days of Customs, where our authors give a little extra to you every day!

 

Twelve Days is basically an Advent calendar for custom songs. Below, you’ll find presents from a bunch of C3 authors. Starting on Saturday, December 13, we’ll reveal one or two songs per day up through December 24. Each day will have a write-up from its author(s), alongside the reveal of the songs themselves. But these songs have a Do Not Open ‘Til Christmas sticker; all sixteen songs will be released in a megapack on Thursday, December 25. (That will count as our weekly release for the 26th.)

 

We have some great songs this year, and we hope that you’ll enjoy them. Remember to check back every day for a new song!

The release of The Zombies’ “She’s Not There” and “Tell Her No” left a gaping hole in the RB3 catalog – whatever happened to “Time of the Season”? Perhaps it was left on the table because it was too heavy on keys. Whatever the reason, some of the best call-and-response vocals imaginable are now yours to enjoy. Be warned – only the bravest among you should take on the keys. Rod Argent is a beast.

 

Props to Farottone for goading me into it. It’s always been on my list, but charting those keys was a real brain expander.
