Okay, let’s assume that “Iron Man” and “Born to be Wild” are both correct (and I hope they are). Given that the third track served to inspire “two different nordic Metal artists”, I’m thinking the theme is something like “Roots of Metal”. My educated guess for the third appearance song is “Ring of Fire” by either Eric Burdon & the Animals or Dragonforce – If my theme guess is right, I would say Eric Burdon.
No logical idea beyond that, but I hope one of the other two songs is somehow “In-A-Gadda-Da-Vida”.

*Scratches head*
The third time this song pops up in Rock Band, this time heavier and noisier than any of it’s other versions
In The End. After Linkin Park and Green Day, next one is from… whoever here (let’s say Anthrax at random).
Poker face has 2 different rock band versions. But I’ve never heard a metal version of it. Hmmm
Man I’m so glad you guys were right about Iron Man and Born to be Wild!
I was spot on once again
