That one genuinely does have me stumped. I originally thought “Scissor Sisters”, but their line-up has never changed, so I’m out of ideas.

If it wasn’t for the whole female-fronted thing, I’d go for “Flogging Molly” (I’m sure that classes as a normal experimental college phase… right?).

Now to explain the first hint, as far as the lead singer is involved:

 

Way back when I was still announcing things for the RBN, one of the many bands I was working with was

, a band quite similar to this week’s iwrestledabearonce. However, when the band’s singer Courtney LaPlante left Unicron to lead iwrestledabearonce (who’s former lead Krysta Cameron had gotten pregnant and decided to dedicate her time to taking care of the child) things sort of went distant.

 

I don’t have any tracks from Courtney’s first album with the band, “Late For Nothing” in this pack for reasons you may know soon enough, but I felt the connection was enough of a hint to keep y’all guessing, and it seems I was right.

 

Also, I promise the next few releases from me will be more “party friendly.”
