Varied pack with all different artists that all has one thing in common this week. Here are some hints:

    • This band, who previously had a song on RBN, returns with much needed Keys, Harmonies and blastbeats this time around.
    • Even if you know how to speak Norwegian you would get a splitting headache trying to figure out what this Rock song is about.
    • This song appeared in a video game with the same name as a different band than this one.
    • A cover version of a classical piece made by someone who is closely involved with C3.
    • The duo who made this song can’t help you with your poor snowboarding skills, but they sure know how to make a nice melody.
    • A experimental Jazz song that is so fun to play it will hopefully do the opposite of making you want to kill your family with an axe.
    • This song is the result of a joke deemed too clever and the artists deciding to make something much sillier instead along with someone who owed them a favor.

    Guess åway!

First one makes me think BtBaM, but there is a lot of RBN I’m not familiar with.

It seems like a common thing for the jazz and norwegian metal is “shining” or “the shining”.

I do want to point out that there are some BtBaM songs with keys and harmonies, all from the “Alaska” album. Those being “Alaska,” “All Bodies,” and “Selkies: The Endless Obsession.” If you’re on Xbox or PS3 you may want to check them out. Selkies is especially fun.

Experimental jazz?hmmm it depends it has or no singer. If its intstrumental,i bet to GUHTRIE GOVAN

As much as I would love the first hint to lead to Poets of the Fall and “Lift”, I bet that’s probably not going to be the case.

      #420356

Poets of the Fall “Lift” is already on RBN but maybe this could be a RB3 version? but I don’t think C3 authors RB catalog that currently exist due to copyright and such.

Just to clarify, no RB3 versions, but a song from a band who has one song on the RBN, sorry about the confusion

      #420376

third clue. I am guessing a song from Guitar Hero Van Halen?

Well, C3 did re-release one of the Wolfblur songs recently, but yeah, an RB3 version was what I meant and what I interpreted the clue as. Since the clue doesn’t refer to that, though…

I’ll just keep hoping it’s Poets even though it’s most likely not, hehe.

The Wolfblur stuff, as well as “Hat” by M_80, were all actually done by FiG Freelance, members of the Freen In Green authoring group, and released with the artists’ permission. Same deal with “Paper Valentine Heart” by The James Rocket, only submitted by Markleford that time. That doesn’t mean any and all RBN songs are open for an RB3 release <img decoding=” src=”/wp-content/uploads/invision_emoticons/default_SA_wink.gif” />

And probably not the high profile Poets of the Fall either, although there really was an RB3 version of that coming at some point.

          C’est la vie.

Fair enough. Thanks very much for the clarification!

Yeah, having that promised and then never receiving it is what made me so hopeful. But ah well, maybe one day. Let the optimism continue.

No hints for May 23rd (as of yet). I don’t know why this makes me sad since every week I stare at the hint thread with my mouth agape having not a clue what any of them are. Yet I do miss it, peculiar huh?
