The Beatles Rock Band Customs? You probably said no, we said yes, you said stop, but we said go, go go!
This is a little different to the standard C3 project in that we aren’t releasing custom songs for Rock Band 3, but instead, we’re presenting “fully complete” custom songs for The Beatles Rock Band. With a lot of care and attention being taken to ensure that these tracks meet the standards of other songs released for the game, our releases contain features that have never been seen before in previous Beatles Rock Band custom efforts, including full animations, camera cuts, custom lip sync for each band member along with brand new custom audio mixes and charts created especially for The Beatles Rock Band, making them fit seamlessly with the rest of your Beatles library!
Custom Pack 01
To see these songs in action, please view the trailer for the first pack at https://streamable.com/30hoj
To introduce the world of Beatles customs, we decided to start with Help!
Chart Preview: https://streamable.com/3495c
Many felt that Help! was a glaring omission from the base game set-list, and we agreed! Written by John Lennon with some help from Paul McCartney, the song serves as a subconscious cry for help from John, who was struggling at the time to deal with the rapidly growing success of the band. Upon release, the song became a fan favorite and maintains to be a staple amongst fans of The Beatles to this day

Our second track for this release is Yesterday
Chart Preview: https://streamable.com/t0mbm
An acoustic ballad featuring Paul McCartney, the song acts as a wistful lookback on a relationship. Despite the bands reservations about the song fitting with the rest of their catalogue, the song quickly became a huge success, reaching #1 in the US. Yesterday has went on to be recognized as one of the most covered songs ever, with hundreds of cover versions being record and released. Some notable artists to cover “Yesterday” include Aretha Franklin, Bob Dylan, Elvis Presley and Marvin Gaye.

Please Please Me Highlights + From Me To You
The Beatles Rock Band Custom DLC Project is back with our second release. This time, we’re bringing you a pack of songs from the band’s debut Please Please Me along with From Me To You
Trailer: https://streamable.com/26n72
To kick off the Please Please Me Highlights Pack we have Misery
Chart Preview: https://streamable.com/z9ibg
Co-written by Paul and John, Misery was originally intended for singer Helen Shapiro, however it was considered unsuitable by her label. During recording sessions for Please Please Me, the band decided to revisit Misery in order to increase the amount of original material on the album.

Following Misery, we have Anna (Go to Him)
Chart Preview: https://streamable.com/v0q7o
A cover of the single released by Arthur Alexander a year earlier, the song became one of John’s favorites leading to the band recording their own take on the song for their debut album. The Beatles recording was a huge success, overshadowing the original in popularity.

Next up is Please Please Me
Chart Preview: https://streamable.com/4zs3x
The title track, Please Please Me proved to be one of the bands earliest successes within their home nation, turning them from an unknown act to a household name, and while the song would not be successful initially in the US, the song very quickly became a hit upon it’s release in 1964, shooting up to the top of the billboard charts at the time, coming in third place, behind I Want To Hold Your Hand and She Loves You.

Love Me Do
Chart Preview: https://streamable.com/rabhl
Primarily written by Paul while skipping school as a child, Love Me Do was released as The Beatles debut single. With its prominent blues-inspired harmonica and duet vocals, the song paved the way for the bands career.

P.S. I Love You
Chart Preview: https://streamable.com/ada33
Released as the B side to Love Me Do, P.S. I Love You was considered by many to be the highlight of the single, with the band themselves considering releasing the song as the A side but the suggestion was dismissed due to an earlier song sharing its title.
Download: http://dl.c3universe.com/5e2c0c8d593cd2.59874805
Alongside “Please Please Me Highlights”, we also have a single release.
From Me To You
Chart Preview: https://streamable.com/tbmpv
The follow up single to Please Please Me, it was initially considered unsuccessful in the US, however in The Beatles home country of the UK, the story was very different, with From Me To You becoming the band’s first number one hit on what would later become the Official UK Singles chart.

As we conclude the post, I would like to thank everyone that commented on, viewed the trailer (over 300 views!) and downloaded the last customs that we were released. We went into this project without knowing really what to expect and the support that we received blew us away. As always, everyone is free to come hang out at our discord server (https://discord.gg/XM9gexj). We would also like to hear about which songs you would like to see released in the future. If you would like to request anything, you may do so at the following survey. https://forms.gle/JumYJtvr7LVnHXPM9. We have also recently discovered a new method of adding Custom Songs to the PS3 version of the game, which makes the installation process substantially easier than it was in the past.
Finally, we’d like to give a welcome to TheWay123, who is joining the project as an Author and a member of our QA team!

Introducing the With The Beatles Pack 01 + Singles
Pack Trailer: https://streamable.com/mgv0q
Let’s begin with All My Loving:
Chart Preview: https://streamable.com/36duw
Generally considered to be the song that put Paul’s song writing on the map. All My Loving kicked off the band’s US live debut on The Ed Sullivan Show, marking the song as a crucial moment in the history of The Beatles along with giving many fans their first introduction to a live performance by The Beatles.
Download: http://dl.c3universe.com/5e62f6a1bfde71.02387024
Next up is Till There Was You:
Chart Preview: https://streamable.com/q5lit
Originally written in 1957 for the musical “The Music Man”, the cover of Till There Was You became a staple of the bands early performances, featuring in their sets in Hamburg and even playing it for the British Royal Family. The song serves as a contrast to the other faster paced songs in their sets. Allowing the band to showcase their diverse sound which helped them appeal to many different groups.

Now it’s time to Roll Over Beethoven:
Chart Preview: https://streamable.com/s3opp
A cover of Chuck Berry’s 1956 hit, Roll Over Beethoven was a personal favorite of John, Paul and George, with them covering the song together before they had even decided on the name “The Beatles”. The band kept it within their live set list rotation up until 1964.
Download: http://dl.c3universe.com/5e62f6a0ecbee7.13244464
To close out the pack, we have Hold Me Tight
Chart Preview: https://streamable.com/withl
Originally planned for inclusion on Please Please Me, Hold Me Tight was eventually pushed back and rerecorded for their follow up album. Despite the band being unhappy with the final song, many fans fell in love with the song, and to this day, still consider it a prime example of the classic rock sound of the early to mid-60s.
Download: http://dl.c3universe.com/5e62f72695ea22.40286167
Alongside the pack, we’re also taking the chance to release some additional songs as singles, the first of which is This Boy
Chart Preview: https://streamable.com/mk1mp
Composed while on tour, This Boy was written while the band were stuck in a hotel room and were looking for a way to kill time. The song stands out for the harmonies within the verses, inspired by the music coming out of the USA during the era, This Boy serves as a showcase for the bands ability to harmonize, along with demonstrating John’s vocal abilities in the chorus.
Download: http://dl.c3universe.com/5e62f6a37e0a88.33204145
Let’s follow that up with what many consider to be a major gap in The Beatles Rock Band library, She Loves You
Chart Preview: https://streamable.com/8ylrw
Similar to This Boy, She Loves You was also written on tour, and is credited as the song which launched the band to superstardom within their home country of the UK, with She Loves You being the band’s UK best-selling single to this day. The song remains to be a major part of the bands legacy, with the band becoming synonymous with the “Yeah, Yeah, Yeahs” found within the songs chorus. The band even revisited the songs chorus with “All You Need Is Love”, ending the track by reprising “She Loves You”.

Afterwards, we are going to take a trip over to Germany with Komm, gib mir deine Hand and Sie liebt dich.
Komm, gib mir deine Hand Chart Preview: https://streamable.com/otwp9
She liebt dich Chart Preview: https://streamable.com/jqm8j
Recorded in order to try and generate more appeal to the German market and increase the sales of The Beatles’ music in Germany, as providing localized rerecorded versions of popular music was common at the time. I Wanna Hold Your Hand and She Loves You were translated into German and recorded by the band for a single release in 1964. These songs also feature fully custom dreamscapes, making them the first The Beatles Rock Band customs to feature all new authored dreamscapes.

And that wraps up our third release! A few things have happened since the previous release, first off, we’d like to give a shout out to Orange Harrison, who has been helping with QA for this release. We have also been monitoring some very promising updates within the PS3 emulation community, and can now report that our releases are fully playable on both solo vocals and harmonies within the RPCS3 emulator, we hope that work on the emulator can continue and the rest of the instruments can be functional in the future.
I would also like to thank Orange Harrison and Farottone for allowing us to use their Rock Band 3 custom songs as a starting point for some songs within this release. If you are a Rock Band 3 player, please make sure to grab their original versions for that game too!
As always, if you wish to follow and/or talk about the project, we have a discord available at https://discord.gg/XM9gexj.

Welcome to the forth Custom DLC release from The Beatles Rock Band DLC Custom Project
This time we’re bringing you “Customs Pack 04”
Pack Trailer: https://streamable.com/mogla
To kick things off, we have Maggie Mae
Chart Preview: https://streamable.com/pf5yh
A folk song in the bands home city of Liverpool, this version of “Maggie Mae” was spontaneously recorded during the sessions for Let It Be. Originally performed while the band were still known as The Quarrymen, the song stuck with the band throughout their careers, with John Lennon recording a version in his home shortly before his death, and more recently, Paul McCartney singing parts of the song during his cameo in the 2017 movie “Pirates of the Caribbean: Dead Men Tell No Tales”.

A Hard Day’s Night Highlights
We are back with “A Hard Day’s Night Highlights” This pack is special in a few ways, because not only does it mark the fifth release from the Custom DLC Project Team, but also signalizes the release of our 20th and 25th custom song releases for The Beatles Rock Band, This release also makes the entire A side of the “A Hard Day’s Night” album playable in-game.
Pack Trailer: https://streamable.com/pg20wr
Let’s not delay things anymore and dive right into our first song “I Should Have Known Better”
Chart Preview: https://streamable.com/vbcqhr
Influenced by Bob Dylan, “I Should Have Known Better” features a prominent harmonica riff throughout leading to unusual patterns that players may not have experienced before, along with introducing fans to the trademark Rickenbacker sound that would go on to define A Hard Day’s Night’s guitar tone.
Download: http://dl.c3universe.com/5ebac366d79987.06455006
Song 2 – “If I Fell”
Chart Preview: https://streamable.com/76pjzj
“If I Fell” showcase John’s first attempt to write a ballad, acting as a precursor to later songs such as In My Life. The song proved to be popular with fans at the time, and was introduced to the band’s live performances in 1964, however, due to the screams of fans, live performances often suffered in quality as the band struggled to hear the song.
Download: http://dl.c3universe.com/5ebac36440d515.28556926
Song 3 – “I’m Happy Just to Dance with You”
Chart Preview: https://streamable.com/gsxdt6
Written by John and Paul in order to give George a vocal spotlight in the movie’s soundtrack as he was not yet confident in his song writing abilities to write a song himself. “I’m Happy Just to Dance with You” was one of the first depictions of George singing lead, resulting in the song becoming quite memorable for many fans of the era.
Download: http://dl.c3universe.com/5ebac367c325a0.92649668
Song 4 – “And I Love Her”
Chart Preview: https://streamable.com/4j2fj6
Similar to John, Paul also took the opportunity to explore writing ballads during the recording sessions for A Hard Days’ Night, and the result of that is “And I Love Her”. Despite only being played once outside of the studio, “And I Love Her” was one of the standout tracks upon A Hard Day’s Night’s release, along with carrying a large legacy of successful covers too, including versions by Bob Marley & The Wailers and Kurt Cobain.
Download: http://dl.c3universe.com/5ebac365eb6b53.15085554
Song 5 – “Tell Me Why”
Chart Preview: https://streamable.com/yi67r4
Despite being regarded as a “throwaway” song by the band at the time “Tell Me Why” features an upbeat rock rhythm sporting a syncopated swing beat, while being packed full of drum fills that will keep even the best players on their toes while playing the song.
Download: http://dl.c3universe.com/5ebac36506f8e0.30478523
Song 6 – “I’ll Cry Instead”
Chart Preview: https://streamable.com/en1he7
While “I’ll Cry Instead” was initially intended for the film soundtrack, it was cut in favor of using “Can’t Buy Me Love” instead. This change persisted until the movie was re-released in the early 1980s, which restored the song in tribute to John. Unlike other songs by The Beatles, “I’ll Cry Instead” was heavily influenced by Country music of the time, an influence that shines throughout the track, introducing a whole new genre into The Beatles Rock Band genre.
Download: http://dl.c3universe.com/5ebac3675842e4.21140728
As a side note: We would like to announce that “Gnik Nus” from our previous pack has been updated from the initial release version, featuring an all new guitar chart, along with critical bug fixes. If you have the previous release of the song, please download the patched song release. This is especially important for PS3 players, who may experience issues with the previous release.
The updated Xbox version can be found at: https://dl.c3universe.com/5e83d40ae89b31.45612076
As usual: the PS3 versions are exclusive to our Discord for now.
Our discord server is very quickly approaching having 350 members, so if you’re interested in following the project as things are being worked on, finding people to play The Beatles Rock Band (or other games!) with, or simply just want talk with likeminded folks, feel free to join the discussion at https://discord.gg/XM9gexj!
“Rain” Single
Welcome to The Beatles Rock Band Custom DLC Project’s first single release! This release serves as a bit of an experiment to see how people react to smaller DLC releases, and if they prefer smaller packs like this or larger packs similar to our normal releases, so please give feedback and let us know what you think!
“Rain Music Video”: https://streamable.com/ph1y95
Let’s not delay things any further, and grab your coats as we are about to head into Rain
Chart Preview: https://streamable.com/6kplom
“Rain” was released as the B side to the “Paperback Writer” single, and is widely considered amongst fans to be one of the strongest B-sides of The Beatles career. “Rain” marks the start of the band’s experimentation with various different recording and production techniques that would be used heavily in the bands later albums. The song was recorded at a higher speed and then played back at a slightly slower speed, giving the song a unique feel that was very unusual at the time of the release. This would later go on to define the sound of Revolver, which was released by the band in the following months.

We would like to close this release by welcoming Sharpi into our Audio Team. We would like to start including more extras such as load screen audio into our releases, and believe she can be a great help in producing content.
Thanks to OrangeHarrison for letting us use his Rock Band 3 “Rain” custom as a base for our version, go check out his version at http://customscreators.com/index.php?/page/index.html/_/c3-0327-r243
We would also like to announce that our discord server has reached 400 members. As always, we would like to invite you all to join the discussion over at https://discord.gg/XM9gexj
Revolver Album
Welcome to another release by The Beatles Rock Band Custom DLC Project. We have a very special release for you this time around, as not only does it represent the first album that we have completed in full, but it also marks over 100 songs playable in The Beatles Rock Band when including on-disk tracks and the previously released Harmonix DLC.
One addition to this pack you may notice is the availability of Rock Band 3 versions. While this will not be the case for every song, we have toyed around with the idea a few times, and decided that this would be the perfect time for them to make their debut. This not only grants people who lack the hardware required to play customs in The Beatles Rock Band with the chance to play the songs we’re releasing, but the releases will also feature full RB3 functionality, including variations on the note-charts to better match Rock Band 3 functionality, Pro Keyboard support and custom Rock Band 3 venues (with some even having a few more bonuses like Pro Guitar in some cases!)
Introducing “Revolver”
Album Trailer: https://streamable.com/sxafoq
We are kicking things off with a darker start as we hear the story of “Eleanor Rigby”.
Chart Preview: https://streamable.com/aa24kj
If “Rain” marked the start of the Beatles transformation into a more experimental band, “Eleanor Rigby” solidified it. With its ear catching string quartet, and bleak lyrics covering subjects such as death, loneliness and depression, the song was far from what listeners expected from traditional Beatles songs, letting the listener know that they were about to experience a new phase of The Beatles.

Don’t get out of bed yet though, as following up is “I’m Only Sleeping”
Chart Preview: https://streamable.com/afm77g
Written as a response to Paul frequently waking John up in the afternoon to work on new material, “I’m Only Sleeping” has a somewhat “dreamy” feel intended to make the listener feel drowsy, using techniques such as playing parts of the song backwards to give the song a lethargic feel.

Next, we’ll be leaving the traditional western music scene and dive into “Love You To”
Chart Preview: https://streamable.com/67x04l
“Love You To” shows us The Beatles first attempt at recording a full song in a more traditional Indian music style, which was very quickly becoming a growing major interest for George. Using instruments such as the Sitar and Tabla, if the previous songs didn’t let fans know they weren’t in for something vastly different from previous albums, they knew now.

RB3 Download: http://dl.c3universe.com/5f29716ee41246.84146063
Don’t get too lost though, as we very quickly find ourselves return to back to the western sound with “Here There and Everywhere”.
Chart Preview: https://streamable.com/ugtit6
Written by Paul while waiting for John to wake up, the song quickly became a favorite of the band at the time, with Paul, John and George Martin all citing it as one of their favorite songs in the bands discography. Inspired by The Beach Boys, the track draws a heavy influence from “Pet Sounds” which at the time was experiencing a very mixed reaction to its release. Similar to Pet Sounds, the song received a mixed reaction from critics when released, with some claiming it to be the peak of “the bands love songs” and a new standard for music, while others feeling that the song was out of place on the album and seemed “dated”.

I didn’t quite catch that, what was that “She Said She Said?”
Chart Preview: https://streamable.com/ekm5ec
“She Said, She Said” was conceived during an acid trip, when John heard actor Peter Fonda say “I know what it’s like to be dead”. The lyric “You’re making me feel like I’ve never been born” immediately came to John afterwards, and work began shortly after. Unusually for a Beatles song, Paul did not play on this track, likely due to an argument over the song during the recording process.

Don’t fall asleep yet though, because it’s still a Good Day Sunshine!
Chart Preview: https://streamable.com/zikbyd
Starting off our B Side, “Good Day Sunshine” kicks us right into gear with this track that celebrates the hot summer days in this homage to The Lovin’ Spoonful and their song “Daydream”, which inspired the “jazzy” sound and feel that runs throughout the track.

Next up, things take a turn when we head into For No One
Chart Preview: https://streamable.com/vddipo
Capturing the feeling of the early days of a failing relationship, “For No One” shows a more mature side of The Beatles library, with lyrics evoking the feeling of loneliness and emptiness that comes along with the twilight of a relationship.

Feeling sick? Whatever you do, don’t call Doctor Robert!
Chart Preview: https://streamable.com/m51e50
“Doctor Robert” chronicles the band’s experimentation with various drugs during the Revolver era, with the lyrics containing multiple references to drug culture at the time. While the existence of a “Real Doctor Robert” has never been confirmed by the band, many believe that the song is written in reference to an infamous New York doctor who gained a reputation with celebrities for providing drugs, while others believe it could be a reference to the band’s dentist, who allegedly introduced them to LSD.

Written by George, “I Want To Tell You” was inspired by his experimentations with LSD, and the thoughts he was experiencing when undergoing trips using the drug. The song also marks the first time that George contributed more than two songs to an album, showcasing his growth and increase in confidence as a song writer.

A Full Revolver album pack? Wow, I’ve Got To Get You Into My Life
Chart Preview: https://streamable.com/s3keed
The second song that was recorded for Revolver, “Get To Get You Into My Life” draws heavy inspiration from the Motown scene, and (seeing a theme here?) was written after Paul tried marijuana for the first time, with the “you” in the song referring to the drug.

What’s releasing after this pack? Well, Tomorrow Never Knows!
Chart Preview: https://streamable.com/ykt3n4
Despite being the closing track of the album, “Tomorrow Never Knows” was the first song recorded for Revolver and set the tone that would go on to define the Revolver sound. The song draws heavy inspiration from “The Psychedelic Experience”, with most of the lyrics coming directly from the book. TBRB fans will be somewhat familiar with this track, as a remixed version from the LOVE album is available on disc, however, this release now marks the original version as playable in game.

We hope this pack was worth the wait! I would also like to take this chance to welcome Kandie and Kueller into the team. We’ve reached over 30 songs released since we announced this project at the end of last year, and we don’t intend to stop anytime soon.
As always, to follow development on future content, interact with others playing TBRB and receive support with playing TBRB Customs, along with accessing the PS3 versions, we highly recommend joining the Discord that we set up for the project, so if you want some fun, join over at https://discord.gg/XM9gexj.
Ob La Di, Ob La Baah!
Welcome to another single release by The Beatles Rock Band Custom DLC Project. We would like to dedicate this release to TheSheepQueen, who is a long-time friend of the multiple members of the team. Sheep originally charted this song for Rock Band 3, and very generously allowed us to reuse her chart as a base for The Beatles Rock Band custom, Today is Sheep’s birthday, so make sure to send over a bunch of love in her direction and wish a happy birthday, along with checking out the original version released for Rock Band 3, which can be found linked below.
Presenting – “Ob-La-Di, Ob-La-Bah”
“Ob-La-Di, Ob-La-Da Music Video”: https://streamable.com/0lvhlo
Chart Preview: https://streamable.com/pcdxj9
“Ob-La-Di, Ob-La-Da” was inspired by a saying Paul once heard from “Jimmy Scott”, a Nigerian conga player who he met in London, Jimmy had several phrases that he used in conversation, but one that stood out to Paul was “Ob la di, ob la da, life goes on brah”, which later became the basis for the chorus of the song. Drawing inspiration from the Jamaican Ska scene that was exploding in the UK at the time, Paul began writing the song during a trip to India in which the band intended to partake in a meditation course. The track generally received a lot of mixed reactions, with the recording sessions for the song becoming increasing heated, and the song receiving multiple nominations in “worst song ever lists”, despite this, many fans consider it to be a highlight of the band’s career due to it’s upbeat, colorful “fun” lyrics and ska-inspired instrumental

With The Beatles Revisited
Welcome to the next pack released by The Beatles Rock Band Custom DLC Project Team, this time, we are going back and revisiting the album that inspired one of our earliest packs, to bring you “With the Beatles Revisited”. With the release of this pack, 5 more songs from “With the Beatles” joins The Beatles Rock Band library, bringing us up to 10 songs from that album in-game, along with making half of the main Beatles Discography playable!

Waiting for more songs to play in your copy of The Beatles Rock Band? Well, don’t worry, because “It Won’t Be Long” before you add this pack to your library!
Chart Preview: https://streamable.com/8j9nnt
The opening track of the album, “It Won’t Be Long” immediately grabs the listener’s attention with the song prominently featuring the band’s trademark “yeah” established by She Loves You, along with the characteristic call and response harmonies between the band members, it’s no surprise that the song remains in listeners minds decades after the initial release. While the song never became a live staple of the band, the song immediately let listeners of With the Beatles know what to expect from the album, and proved that the success of Please Please Me and She Loves You was not a fluke.

Feeling sad and lonely? Well, you can always have some fun playing Little Child!
Chart Preview: https://streamable.com/v0vrmt
Originally written for Ringo with a simple vocal medley in mind to better fit his range, Little Child ended up being recorded with Paul and John performing vocals on the track and Ringo taking I Wanna Be Your Man instead. While the song proved to be a challenge to record, requiring over twenty takes. While the song itself did not receive a hugely positive reaction, it remains a standout track of the album, featuring a blues-inspired riff with a harmonica that’s sure to grab the listener’s attention.

Waiting for that delivery? Well wait no longer, because “Please Mister Postman” joins The Beatles Rock Band today!
Chart Preview: https://streamable.com/9eet6m
Inspired by the band receiving fan mail mentioning to “please ask the postal office to deliver their mail faster”, the band started covering “Please Mister Postman” as part of their early live sets in 1962. Following this, the band decided to record a studio version of their cover for inclusion on their second album. Despite being a major part of their early live performances, the cover did take a while to successfully get on tape, needing nine takes before they got a version that they considered “perfect”. The song was very frequently revisited during the band’s career, with them performing it multiple times during the BBC Live sessions and even going on to star in a notable TV performance of the track in 1964.

As we reach the fourth song of the pack, we can’t just quit now, for “You Really Got A Hold On Me” is up next.
Chart Preview: https://streamable.com/ysava1
The first song recorded during the “With the Beatles sessions, “You Really Got A Hold On Me” shows the band’s take on the 1962 track by Smokey Robinson and The Miracles. While the original song did not achieve much success in the band’s home country of the United Kingdom, the band became aware of the songs existence due to imported copies arriving from the United States, where the song was a major success. The band then began experimenting with their take on the song shortly after. The cover was revisited in 1969 during the Let It Be sessions, originally planned for inclusion as part of a medley for the album. While the plans for this medley was scrapped, the song did appear in the “Let It Be” documentary.

Closing out the pack, we have “Money (That’s What I Want)”
Chart Preview: https://streamable.com/r4abyz
The band originally discovered “Money (That’s What I Want)” when browsing stock at Brian Epstein’s record store, at the time, Brian had a policy of ordering at least one copy of everything that was released, which lead to the band being able to discover many obscure singles which weren’t successful at the time. The band had started experimenting with the song afterwards, with even producing a cover as part of their Decca Audition. Later on, the band decided to revisit the song and use it as the closer on “With the Beatles”.

John Day 01
It’s only been a few days since the last pack, but packs are flowing out like endless rain into a paper cup, and with that, we’re proud to welcome you back this time for something a little different. Welcome to “John Day 01”. Released to commemorate what would have been John Lennon’s 80th birthday, this pack is not only our first pack that focuses on a specific member of the band, but also introduces our first solo career release into The Beatles Rock Band.
Introducing: “John Day 01”
Let’s kick off the pack by learning the story of Julia.
Music Video: https://streamable.com/s1se3h
Chart Preview: https://streamable.com/o89q0x
Written by John in tribute to his late mother, who died in a car accident when he was young. “Julia” is John’s only solo recording during his career with The Beatles. The song features adapted lyrics inspired by poems from poet Kahlil Gibran, which form the basis for not only the songs intro, but the imagery contained throughout. Julia was also the final song recorded during The White Album sessions.

Initially released as part of charity compilation album “No One’s Gonna Change Our World”, “Across The Universe” later went on to appear on Let It Be, in which it was commonly regarded as one of the stand out tracks of the album. The song has since went on to receive various cover versions recorded by many major artists, including David Bowie, 10cc, Fiona Apple and The Scorpions. On the 40th anniversary of “Across The Universe”, the song was transmitted into Deep Space by NASA, with fans across the world being encouraged to play the song while the transmission occurred, making the song potentially one of the most heard songs of all time.

Music Video: https://streamable.com/z6932i
Chart Preview: https://streamable.com/2k9e96
Our first release from a member’s solo career, “Working Class Hero” comes to us from Plastic Ono Band, and was heavily inspired by political movements occurring at the time, and the thoughts he was experiencing as a result of seeing what was happening in the world around him. “Working Class Hero” carries on the political messaging in John’s music that started with tracks such as Revolution.

We also have a YouTube channel now over at https://www.youtube.com/c/TBRBCDLC, for those that wish to catch up on any previous releases you may have missed!
We still wanted to put this pack out today, but as noted, the links are currently unavailable due to C3 File Management access not currently being accessible right now, there are some temporary download links in our Discord for now, and this post will be edited to contain correct links when file management access is restored.
Please Note:
These releases are a little different to your standard RB3 custom, as they currently need a modified system to play such as an RGH/JTAG Xbox 360 or CFW PS3. However, as it is becoming more common to find a pre-modified system available for sale or for those more technically inclined, much easier to modify a console yourself, we hope that you can join us in experiencing the world of custom content for The Beatles Rock Band, as it really feels amazing to see in action. We are also looking into the possibility of supporting more platforms such as the Wii, alongside emulation solutions.
If you would like to follow the project, talk about this release (or future releases ), give feedback and receive support for playing this content, please join our Discord server at https://discord.gg/XM9gexj.
I would like to give recognition to all those that have made this possible, this project is brought to you by astronomyhopes, atupomaruru, Hentai/TrashRBPlayer, IMMCTNTJK, Onyxite, PikminGuts92, Rocker1999, Sharpi and TheWay123.
We would also like to give shout outs to Farottone, Orange Harrison, StackOverflow0x and Zeddikins for helping out the project.
January 2, 2020 at 3:39 pm #508907What’s the plan on converting the existing Beatles customs to this format?
Are these songs going to be mixed into the Rb3 database? (I think that is a bad idea)
Best of luck
Keeping the content Canadian since 2017!

1. It’s going to depend on the songs/charts, but mostly no. Not every existing chart is really suitable for Beatles RB as is, since pre RB3 has different authoring standards to post RB3 content in regards to alt charting and stuff.
2. Probably just kept to the thread and our discord, since we don’t want people disappointed or whatever that these don’t function in RB3, C3 rules also don’t let us post different versions of C3 releases to the database I believe, so we’re avoiding that issue too.
January 18, 2020 at 8:21 pm #509300Hey Guys! I just wanted to say I’m really happy about this Custom songs project cause the Beatles Rock Band is my personal favorite RB game. However, I don’t own a modded Xbox 360 or a CFW PS3. I just own a normal Xbox 360. I was really sad when I found out that you needed a modded console so I was absolutely determined to find a solution. Basically I downloaded both tunes, Help and Yesterday and converted them to LIVE then to CON with a bit of brute force in C3 con tools. I then put them on my USB with a Beatles Rock Band save file and when I put them on the Xbox they show up as DLCs, they have the Beatles Rock Band Icon, and read “Saved Game” below. When I sent them to hard drive and loaded them up however, they didn’t appear in game. Is there any other possible solution or do I just need to cave in and get a modded console.

Believe me, we’ve tried all we can think of too because we really want as many people as possible to be able to enjoy playing these songs. Sadly, while Rock Band 2 and 3 can load customs from unsigned con files because they had to support the RB1 export that used that format, The Beatles Rock Band never got this functionality. Help! and Yesterday are both available as customs in the database here if you’re looking to play them on Rock Band 3

I definitely agree with him trying to figure out an idea as I would love this as well, Id also love this idea to also go into Green Day RB in the future but one step at a time. Sucks that its not as easy as cons in RB1/2/3. I would love to have everything right in Beatles RB as for me The Beatles are my most number of songs in RB3.
January 19, 2020 at 5:56 pm #509317Yeah, trust me, i’ve looked into possible unmodded solutions, but options are super limited. I have faith in emulation maybe making things easier in the future, but even then, the PS3 emulator would require a modded console to rip the game.
If anyone has any theories, feel free to suggest or try. I even found a new way of loading customs in RB3 trying to get these songs working on unmodded PS3s lol.
January 26, 2020 at 7:31 am #509385I have a CFW PS3. How do I install these customs in TBRB?
January 26, 2020 at 11:03 am #509387The Beatles Rock Band Custom DLC Project is back with our second release.

Download: http://dl.c3universe.com/5e2c0c8ee239d2.87726415

Download: http://dl.c3universe.com/5e2c0c8e535520.63562349
P.S. I Love You
Chart Preview: https://streamable.com/ada33

January 26, 2020 at 6:25 pm #509392I’m so glad I hard modded my Xbox360 last year because now I can enjoy these Beatles customs in their proper game. Tested all 8 songs thus far and they work flawlessly. Keep up the great work!
January 27, 2020 at 6:29 am #509406Thanks a lot for the kind responses everyone. Glad to see everyone enjoying them!
