Tempo not being mapped at all.

I’ve made loads of songs using reaper and this has never happened before…
I’ve changed the tempo throughout the song so that the notes match up, but for some reason the tempo map isn’t being used when I play the song. My Magma settings etc. are all the same as I always have them, the same applies to C3 CONtools. So I thought the problem was caused by Reaper.
If you watch this(https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=wygEmMBSs3s&feature=youtu.be) you’ll see that the tempo works fine in reaper, but not in Clone Hero.
I’ve not changed any of my exporting settings for Reaper, or Magma or C3 CONtools, so I have no idea what’s causing this. Also, all the tempos are within the 40-300 range, so Magma isn’t getting confused or anything.
I tried creating a new Reaper file, and copying the guitar midi into it. Then manually adding all the tempos back in. This was in case I had changed a setting somewhere, so resetting it back to default should fix it. But it still doesn’t work. I’ve spent ages trying to fix this, with no success.
This is really annoying.
If anyone has seen this kind of thing before, can you please give me some tips on how to resolve this issue, thanks!
Be sure to embed the tempo map when exporting your midi data. That’s not a project setting but REAPER wide, so it explains why your steps didn’t work.

Thanks for trying to help, but I have done that. There is a box saying ‘Embed tempo map’ when you export, and it’s ticked. I’ve made plenty of songs that have changes in tempo, and it’s worked for them, but for some unexplained reason it’s not letting me do tempo maps. I’ll delete, and then reinstall Reaper this time, and see if that works.
I don’t know exactly what the problem is, but a fix could be to start a new project using the C3 template; mimic the current tempo map (just redo everything by hand, shouldnt take long considering you already have proper data…) and then copy the notes from your tracks from the previous project. This should work.

The issue is that Magma or reaper (or something) doesn’t like tempo gradients, i.e. gradually changing from 70bpm to 100bpm. I fixed it by changing the tempo in steps and now it works perfectly!
So yeah, don’t use gradients.

Hadn’t noticed this in your video, or I would have told you about it. Drove mad for weeks earlier this year, until it was the final remaining cause and indeed it turned out to be.
Very disappointing Rock Band doesn’t support it as they are quite useful at times

So what you’re saying is is that you can’t make a song go from 70 bpm slowly to 100 bpm?
Have you not seen Working Man or something?

You can’t use gradients, meaning you need to change the tempo marker by marker instead of letting the application “fade” from one tempo to another.
