Whoa, awesome, GH2. Some of those tiers are too high, but that’s minor.
July 2, 2014 at 4:18 pm #423862Although my buddy Nunchuck gives us equal credit on this project, he has done the majority of the work on the tunes & also the posting of these tunes as well. He has the same passion for the game that I do & I am glad to be part of the team. He deserves a big pat on the back for getting this project going & pumping out the tunes. Well done my friend, well done.
I also want to thank onemancoverband for the outstanding work on the audio for some of these tunes. The sound files for some of these were absolutely terrible & through the magic touch of his right index finger they are now about a 1,000 times better audio wise. Kudos to you onemancoverband.
July 2, 2014 at 4:33 pm #423864More silly nitpicking about genre choices in this pack, but Thunderhorse is death metal, not power metal, the Soilwork song is more akin to alternative metal than death metal, past My Chemical Romance songs have been labelled as “Emo,” Shadows Fall could either be labelled as metalcore or thrash metal, and Every Time I Die could be considered either metalcore or punk. There may be others, but those are the ones that popped out at me.
Anyway, other than letting my extreme OCD over metadata get the better of me, it’s good to see someone providing these things, and it makes for a good starting point for others to make a full band chart up to C3 standards or whatever.
July 2, 2014 at 4:49 pm #423865Just want to ask something; Detonation says rhythym on bass, and ingame it says rhythm version, but it’s the GH2 bass chart, not rhythm. Is it supposed to be like that?
July 2, 2014 at 5:14 pm #423866So many good memories – thank you!!!

Thanks for the feedback Gigakoops & I aoppreciate your honesty. I know you have done RBN work & I appreciate your opinion.
When I do my genres, album covers etc I take the info from a wiki search of the song, not always are they right or have a genre that is available to be put in Magma. If it tells me its alternative that’s what I list it as. I really could care less about genres(I wish there was no genre option in Magma) and have said this many times & no matter how many people tell me different I am not going to change what I do. To me a song is just a song no matter what people think it should be listed as. They can be easily found on the xbox by searching for the band or song name & that’s good enough for me. I am not trying to be an ass about this but believe me it gets tiring when people nitpick what I personally consider a very minor issue. My main concern when I make converts is,
A: Do they play good?
B: Do they sound good?
My buddy C16 who also has OCD took it upon himself to learn how to change the album info so that it matches his criteria for what he likes, I applaud him for that. My suggestion to those that have OCD issues is to take the couple hours it takes to learn this like he did & make the changes they want. Other wise be like me and just enjoy the actual real reason we are here, The music.
July 2, 2014 at 6:02 pm #423870Where’s the popcorn? I’m sure I saw it around here somewhere!

Relax, it really is a minor issue. And I already know how to export .dta files and edit them to match my criteria, which is what I plan on doing if I decide to play any of those I mentioned. I just thought I’d post about it since it was on my mind; I am not demanding you go out of your way to appease my very silly nitpicks and upload new versions with just metadata change.
I didn’t mean to upset or start some form of argument, I was just providing some constructive criticism over things that really are minor details in comparison to, say, whether the audio and charts work, and whether the charts are accurate. I may not agree with you that genre is unimportant, because to me it helps better define the song for those who may not have heard of or remembered it, but I’ll try to keep in mind your feelings in future releases of yours.
July 2, 2014 at 6:20 pm #423872I love Dragonforce and Nightwish, can’t wait to try out Thunderhorse, it’s probably gonna fit right in with my tastes!
July 2, 2014 at 6:27 pm #423873Totally relaxed Gigakoops & like I said I appreciate the feedback you gave.
July 2, 2014 at 6:40 pm #423875The amount of love in this thread is too damn high!
On another note, this discussion solidifies my belief that my super secret project is indeed needed and may just motivate me again to work on it

I’m not speaking on Doc’s behalf, Gigakoops, but I didn’t read anything negative or condescending towards your post in his post. I think he was just calmly explaining his opinion, just as you were. I think it’s all good, and it’s obvious you two have expressed mutual respect for one another and one another’s opinions. No harm done, and plenty of hugs to go around. *hugs you both* ” src=”/wp-content/uploads/invision_emoticons/default_SA_biggrin.gif” />
Either that or I’m just bad at reading.
EDIT:Looks like Doc beat me to it lol

Today The Doc and I bring you Guitar Hero II. Guitar Hero II was released in November 2006 on PS2 and April 2007 for Xbox 360. It was also the first Guitar Hero to have DLC.The Doc and I have been working diligently to get this project out to you all. These songs include the DLC as well as in game tracks. Songs that are covers will be noted in Visualizer with GH 2 Pic. In game it will have original artwork. This will make covers easily visible, so you know what you are downloading. Original artist tracks will have proper artwork in visualizer. This will avoid any confusion. There is a lot of fun tracks in this batch. Most tracks are Guitar and Bass. A few tracks have rhythm on bass as they did in the original game, they are also noted in visualizer.
A big fat thank you to onemancoverband for his help with audio and .mids. He was a major help in this project and will be going forward. He has been great to work with. Give him lots of love. His contributions to the community are big on this project. Respect!
So here we go jumping back in the GH Time Machine and travel back in time to 2007 for another rockin’ nostalgic good time. Please enjoy and have fun.
The Doc and I will return very soon with Guitar Hero Rocks the 80’s. I know you have all been waiting for it. It will be here before you know it. Thank you all, we hope you dig them.
Life is short, so rock out whenever you can.
Thanks for the kind words you two. ” src=”/wp-content/uploads/invision_emoticons/default_SA_smile.gif” /> Don’t forget to credit yourselves too. lol These are going to be fun to play.. but it’s obvious I have a lot of work ahead of me with the tracks I didn’t do yet. (I really need to stop focusing on ones we don’t need.)
I love Dragonforce and Nightwish, can’t wait to try out Thunderhorse, it’s probably gonna fit right in with my tastes!*squeals in sheer delight, loving those bands also*
….
Remember, you neither saw, heard, or read that just now. *cough*

Ah we love you to Nemo, never forget that
Got my carrot sticks & sour sucker gummies ready for action, do tell us more about the super secret project!! You know you want to!!!!
July 2, 2014 at 7:02 pm #423879Thank you everybody for the kindness and respect. You guys make me blush. Don’t let the Doc bullshit you all, he is just being modest. He is my partner 50/50. He forgets to mention all he has done cataloging and preparing for this project. As well as being a great guy…Respect!
July 2, 2014 at 7:18 pm #423880Pfft, it’s painfully obvious what Nemo is up to. He’s clearly charting this timeless classic for RB3, for all to enjoy! ” src=”/wp-content/uploads/invision_emoticons/default_SA_emot-3.gif” />
