Man, this is such a cool idea for a project. Thanks for the songs (and the delicious nostalgia)!
August 26, 2014 at 9:13 pm #428009Good work by Nunchuck and Spindoctor on this behemoth release. They pushed through some big RL problems that forced the release date back a lot. I hope everything turned out ok in the end. It was also a shame to see one exceptional cover song have to get cut from release. Thankfully we have the real version as DLC. Que Sara, Sara..
La Grange and Johnny, I hardly knew ya are by far my favorites to play, cause they came out sounding so nice.
Although I do have to jokingly ask, where the heck is my DLC version of Devil Went Down to Georgia, you guys? ” src=”/wp-content/uploads/invision_emoticons/default_SA_wink.gif” />
I believe that “Juke Box Hero” was official Harmonix DLC way back in ’07.It was a cover.
And here I thought I wasted my time converting it, thinking it wouldn’t be allowed due to that cover version. Although I still kind of hope the GH5 version I did shortly after gets a conversion someday too.
As far as future Time Machine releases go, I tried my hand at the hidden GH1 track Graveyard Shift in Reaper and failed miserably. Nunchuck fixed all the bugs and got it working for me, but the audio is completely out of sync. Anyone wanna take a stab at helping me fix it? I’m also hoping to try my hand at the GH2 DLC versions of Higher Ground and Infected, and the GH1 cover of Spanish Castle Magic, since it is an instrumental version. I’m not sure if I could release it though.
August 26, 2014 at 9:14 pm #428010I tried to reply early this morning, but when there was a pending reply, it asked me to doublecheck my reply, but instead it got swallowed.
Anyway, this is phenomenal. As farottone noted, what an epic undertaking – I’ve been really looking forward to this one, as I knew it would be the first release with master tracks. What a bonus to get some drums thrown in! I am in particular thrilled for Sex Pistols, Heroes del Silencio, Aerosmith, and several others. Also, I believe this megaton release gives sorting to a few albums, including Aerosmith’s Get Your Wings and Coldplay’s a Rush of Blood to the Head.
Many, many thanks!
August 26, 2014 at 10:20 pm #428015@Nemo, thanks for pointing out your Murloc custom, we will link yours up for sure. Being that you have an exceptional memory for released customs I/we appreciate you telling us & we will make the appropriate changes when you point them out. Question for you. Would you suggest to leave ours up as well for those who want the actual GH song the way it was made?
I honestly don’t remember how much editing I did to the original charts, but I suspect my guitar/bass are pretty close to the official ones. I ripped the audio myself from the original file, so it should be in good quality as well. There’s no harm in having both links up, but I don’t see the point. Your call. I’ll update that old thread of mine so it’s not so difficult to see what is still left on there.
I’ll let you know if I see anything else already done. I do have a weird ability to recall such important things as these

I haven’t forgot you my friend, after doing one hell of a pile of songs a break was/is needed. This batch was extremely hard to do. I have a folder on my desktop with your name on it, It keeps telling me “pick me, pick me” I keep saying to it “calm down, calm down, your turn will come”
August 26, 2014 at 11:05 pm #428019I don’t have words to describe how awesome this project is…So big Thank you for your work.
I have this link for Halo 2 Mjölnir mix I found a couple of months ago.It has drums and keyboard and is only expert.
Didn’t try the charts of drums/keyboard,so I can’t tell anything about their quality but,if it’s good you could use them, make reductions and we’ll have a more complete custom ” src=”/wp-content/uploads/invision_emoticons/default_SA_biggrin.gif” /> (Guitar and Bass are the GH3 chart, confirmed).
I don’t know who did this convert, can’t remember where I found it but there you go:
http://www.mediafire.com/download/rbt8e … Mix_rb3con
BTW, the Die fantastichen vier song have an old convert did it by Psym (I think).I downloaded a long time ago in the 360iso site and its good synch(but crappy audio quality).Maybe you could PM him and ask for links…Hope that helps. Ernten was wir säen was one of the more fun songs to play in GH3 IMO and would be a pity this time machine don’t have it…But,for now,we have a lot to remember thanks to you !

No worry or hurry needed on those. You two deserve a break after all of this. (That and I’m hoping to see GH Aerosmith first.) ” src=”/wp-content/uploads/invision_emoticons/default_SA_wink.gif” />

Wow nice find on that Halo track Malignoo! ” src=”/wp-content/uploads/invision_emoticons/default_SA_smile.gif” /> Those will be great additions!
I bet they finished Die Fantastischen Vier – Ernten Was Wir Säen, but maybe it accidentally got overlooked in the upload/posting phase perhaps?
August 26, 2014 at 11:28 pm #428023Time for a major setlist management thanks to this mega Guitar Hero update.
I couldnt get Cold Play “Violent Hill” link to work.
I believe there is a full band custom of Dragonforce “Heroes of Our Time” but I’ll have to find it in my setlist to make sure.
Outstanding release!

Very cool Malignoo, I will see what I can do with the Halo song, Onemancoverbands audio is fantastic on all these tunes, The Die fantastichen vier song has a BPM of over 300, that’s why it was left out. I will see if I can match up the OMCB’S audio on it to Psym’s version if he gives permission

I will reup Coldplay tonight & start on the fixes that have been pointed out, be sure to let me know about Dragonforce, it was on Questiomarks completing guitar hero thread as not being done.
August 26, 2014 at 11:45 pm #428027I’m going out on a limb here, but I remember seeing a thread on the FoF forum showing the comparison of the old GH3 chart rips vs the new ones, and someone talking about the newer ones having partial drum charting for animation. Said person said they were going to clean them up and finish them.. which is where I got the mids from. If my awful memory serves me right.. the drums author could be Asskickulater? (Maybe sorta possibly not sure..)
August 26, 2014 at 11:58 pm #428030Heroes of Our Time can found in Bloodlines google drive. It doesnt have vocals but it has every other instrument and is multitrack. Not sure if the guitar and bass charts are taken from the guitar hero III version.

I also have a version of “Slither” that has G/B/D. Not sure if its multitrack. “Devil Went Down to Georgia” was released in the C3 Database and has vocals.

Hmm, seems like they took the GH3 stems and managed to make a few new stems by altering the levels. Interesting.
August 27, 2014 at 11:03 am #428072Thanks for all the kindness everybody. Velvet Revolver issues fixed and new link added.
August 27, 2014 at 12:59 pm #428076There already is a version of slither out there with drums bass and guitar but no vocals.
