    Hello C3 Community.

I have a big issue today. I’ve just added songs, but some of them do not “enter” on the game. Though, I have uploaded on the USB Device. But when I take the USB off the XBox and go back to my PC, the songs have disappeared on Party Buffalo :/

Moreover, the game load EVERY song I have downloaded in the past. Usually, it loads only the ones I have downloaded the day on.

Anyone have a clue how to fix this? Thank you and sorry for my english.

    For information the songs are

    Anthrax – Got the Time

    Marilyn Manson – Tainted Love

    The Beatles – Yesterday

Since you’re still using party buffalo, I suggest that you backup all your files and switch to the new file format

Use C3ConTools instead of Party Buffalo. That way when something like this happens it is a lot easier for others to diagnose your problem. Open RBtoUSB in C3ConTools and see if those 3 songs are visible in that window.

Looks like I’m stuck… -__- I don’t understand why is this happening now, everything worked well for the past 2 years when uploading customs… Sucks a lot. If I format my drive, everything will be erased and I don’t want to.

And I still don’t understand why the game is loading every custom instead or loading the ones I’ve injected the day on.

      Nevertheless thanks for your help!

You’ve kept all your customs somewhere besides your memory stick, right?

The reason why people are hesitant to troubleshoot issues related to Party Buffalo is because it relies on the old XBox 360 file system, which was much more obfuscated and confusing, requiring specialized tools like Party Buffalo to even read. When a problem happens, diagnosing the issue requires a lot more time and effort than most people have to spare.

What I recommend is this: First, make sure your XBox 360 has the latest system updates; it should already if you go online regularly. Next, use Party Buffalo to extract your customs collection off of your memory stick and onto your Windows hard drive. Then, reformat your memory stick, using the FAT32 file system. Since you are having trouble, you may want to have Windows do a deep format and/or scan for errors before formatting, but be aware these options will take a good bit of time. Finally, once your stick is reformatted, use C3ConTools to put all your customs back on your memory stick. At that point you should be good to go. If nothing else, it will be easier to help out if you do run into trouble again.

I will try this when I’ll have time <img decoding=” src=”/wp-content/uploads/invision_emoticons/default_SA_smile.gif” /> thank you, I’ll let you know if it works

Took me a long time to solve the issue, but it is solved!

Thank you for your support FujiSkunk! <img decoding=” src=”/wp-content/uploads/invision_emoticons/default_SA_smile.gif” />

But I have still a little issue, which is not really important but kind of bothering.

The game loads EVERY custom/downloaded song (731 to be precise) every time I launch the game. It used to load only the ones that have been downloaded the day on. Why?

        Thanks in advance <img decoding=” src=”/wp-content/uploads/invision_emoticons/default_SA_wink.gif” />

Did you pulled out the usb while RB3 was loading? I deleted my song cache and it was fine after it loaded all the songs again

Every time you clear your song cache on your hard drive, the game has to rebuild a new one the next time you launch the game. That means loading in *all* of the content on the flash drive, and combining them with whatever songs are on your hard drive.

If you add new songs to your USB stick afterwards, the next time you put it in your console, *only* the new songs will need to be added to the cache.

Of course, if you’re constantly deleting/restoring song cache files due to the dreaded 2952 song limit and/or testing multiple versions of the same song (each with unique song IDs)…you’ll become used to rebuilding your song cache pretty quickly.

Okay but how do I do to avoid that rebuilding please?

I’m updating my thread to see if someone can answer my last question please <img decoding=” src=”/wp-content/uploads/invision_emoticons/default_SA_smile.gif” />
