First time I have run into this issue where a song is missing from the list on my PS3. It appears to be loaded when building the list , but it does not show up. I added around 30 songs and they all showed up except for this one and the header message says viewing 2530 of 2531 songs. Song in question is Los Angeles by blink-182, not sure where to start on this one. Any help is appreciated.

My culprit was Weezer’s Holiday not showing up due to having Green Days Holiday under the same file name. I am not entirely sure if it is that but I would check with that in the /songs folder of your PS3 directory. It could also be conflicting song IDs or you may need to check your sort by rated category and see if you have accidentally rated something by pressing the blue button (happens all the time by accident) and see if the song pops up there.

OH THAT WOULD BE IT. Yeah the thing with playstation is that you don’t even need to own the song for it to clash with a song that is in Rockband 3. There is an X song called Los Angeles. I just Checked the name of the file for Los Angeles and yeah, it is just the song name. I am surprised it didn’t break your game fully to be honest, because that was what Sunday Morning by Maroon 5 did to my console. Thankfully the original author changed the name of the file (THIS IS WHY YOU SHOULD ALWAYS PUT THE ARTIST AND AUTHOR NAME IN THE CON FILE SO THIS NEVER HAPPENS)
You personally cannot fix this, you will have to contact the original author and they will have to remake the con after a different name.
If you use Pro Keys 2 Hands, you a cheater, just saying

Well you can take the CON apart and rebuild with a different name, but I guess you would lose the multitrack audio?
Or is it only the midi file which is encrypted? I think it’s encryption which prevents to just rename the files. Midi can be easily extracted and re-encrypted, but not multitrack audio.
January 5, 2021 at 6:47 pm #516053I am having this problem as well, I just installed a bunch of songs on my PS3 and only about half are showing up. I am using a new computer with a fresh install of the tools, so I am worried I am creating a conflict with old song IDs. What is the specific ID that conflicts and causes songs not to show? Is it the song title as well as the song ID? Does it make any difference if the song ID is numerical or not?
Specifically, can anyone who is playing on PS3 test any of the following songs so I know whether or not it is an issue with me or the file?
The Smiths — Still Ill
The Smiths — William It was really nothing
Tom Waits — Jockey Full of BourbonJanuary 6, 2021 at 4:09 pm #516056I was able to get my problems solved and get the songs to show up, I just added them in smaller batches. My guess was there was some errant punctuation in the Songs.dta file.
