Balancing instruments occupy an important place among equipment used for vibroacoustic measurements. Besides performing metrological functions, they also play a technological role by reducing the imbalance of rotating mechanisms. This enhances economic efficiency and improves product quality with relatively small capital investments, particularly in industries with a large amount of rotary equipment, such as mills and fan manufacturing plants.

Typically, the price of balancing equipment ranges from 2500 to 10000 euros, with a payback period of about 6-7 months. However, these amounts can be burdensome for small and medium-sized enterprises, including auto repair shops and electric motor service centers.

On the market, you can find a broad selection of balancing instruments with prices ranging from 2500 to 25000 euros, depending on the manufacturer and functionality. For instance, the Balanset-1A, a portable balancer and vibration analyzer, is priced at approximately 1461 euros. High prices for this equipment are due to factors such as low production volumes, costly vibration sensors, and the expenses involved in developing specialized software.

However, there are ways to reduce costs, which we took advantage of in developing our new instrument, the “Balanset-1A”. By using mass-produced components, more affordable vibration sensors, and management algorithms developed over the past two decades, we substantially reduced expenses.

Consequently, the cost of our set (excluding the computer) is under 2000 euros, making it significantly cheaper than similar equipment on the market. Therefore, the “Balanset” provides an affordable balancing solution that even small businesses can afford.
