I’d have to imagine those harmonies are very tough to chart. And other than guitar and vocals, they may not be a great deal of fun for the rest of the band to play.
I feel like they would be a lot of fun and a lot of songs have percussion, piano, and other instruments that can be tabbed

Well, we can still determine how much interest there is in a certain artist and/or song through the “Song Request” thread…even if C3 won’t be the ones to look at it and possibly customize them…there are other users here

I would submit actually Simon & Garfunkel songs are way easier to author with available MIDIs than most of other stuff, at least on vocals.
I’m open for collaboration on “You can call me Al”. I have a big start on vocals from about a year ago. Lots of work still and I won’t return to it very soon. But I anyone’s up for it: send me a PM.

I haven’t tried a midi but in general I love charting the slower songs with good singers. It makes vocal charting so much more relaxed. Really challenging songs are fun as well, but sometimes I just want to chart a Paul Simon or even a Cliff Richard song.
Unless that comment means that you’re already working on S&G…and if so, spill it!

I’m working on vocals for Sideshow’s custom of the Eagles’ “After The Thrill Is Gone”. Slow song, two vocal parts, doing it by ear. It will probably end up being a mess, but I think it is a pretty good starter song for me. Getting some experience actually charting the tubes and trying to figure out the pitches, recording the dry vox, etc. The “hard part” (IMO) tempo map, drums, guitar were already done

But first, I have to finish the one song I’m working on at some point and get it out the door before really thinking about next.
Because it’s hard!
And because you have to actually know musical theory to do it properly. Remember all that time we spent talking about time signatures? I’m still not sure I understand it. And like you said in another thread, it all goes to hell if the song doesn’t start on a downbeat. Or is that an upbeat? See!
And don’t get me started on songs that don’t have drums… Or change tempo. Or change time signature. Or don’t have clear visible waveform spikes. Or or a billion other things.
