July 12, 2015 at 3:50 am #450063Wow, thank you very much for Hocus Pocus and caravan, so awesome! You guys do great work!I do what I can to constantly bring new music to the game. This week has been brutal at my money job as I had to come in on a Saturday but I still will make a weekend release tomorrow with a few songs so stay tuned.
July 12, 2015 at 7:34 pm #450109I’ve got a few more Drum Project songs to share as well as Strung Out “Calling” which is a Guitar Hero convert from Warriors of Rock. Those who were waiting for Kaiser Chiefs “Never Miss a Beat”, it will eventually be released by some other author so keep a lookout for it in the future.
The first song is taken from an older Drum Project thread at FOF. “You or Me” is from a Dream Theater bootleg album in the late 90’s.

Here is a Porcupine Tree song that I found in the Drum Project threads. “Bonnie the Cat” is from their last album and features “Gavin Harrison” at his technical prowess.

I mentioned it before but growing up in the 90’s it was a big deal to see Strung Out become as successful as they have become being that they are from my home town of Simi Valley, CA. Went to several of their shows and met members of the band, they were one of the first punk/metal bands to be signed on Fat Wreck Chords which is a big indie label started by Fat Mike of NOFX. Anyhow, I reworked the drum chart so that the toms and cymbals are much more inclined to Rock Band 3’s style of Pro Drumming and I also charted harmonies which is mainly just the main vocals copied to lower and higher octaves. Enjoy!

July 16, 2015 at 5:14 am #450437Thank you for the hook up on those 2 songs
July 16, 2015 at 6:31 am #450440Thank you for the hook up on those 2 songsShortly after posting this update I found a guitar only custom of Slayer “Disciple” on these forums. Probably doesnt sync to the drums only tempo map but its something to tinker with in the future.
July 16, 2015 at 8:27 pm #450486What happened to the Kaiser Chiefs link?
July 17, 2015 at 2:50 am #450514What happened to the Kaiser Chiefs link?There never was a link. I just showed what I was working on. That song will be released eventually. You just have to be patient.
July 18, 2015 at 4:03 am #450611So I’ve decided I’ll be doing some more customs, but I’ll simply be slowing down my pace. A key factor in my break was the fact that my laptop had overheated (the cooling fan stopped working) and it had to be repaired. It is fixed now.
Since Iron Maiden announced that they’ll be releasing their sixteenth album in September, I figure that between now and RB4’s release, I’ll be making four packs of Iron Maiden. The packs will be split by chronology.
The first pack will have songs from the two Di’Anno albums, Number Of The Beast, and most of the rest of Piece of Mind (so 1980-1983). I’m working on this one right now and I hope to have it released at the end of the month.
* Transylvania
* Wrathchild (Live)
* Killers
* 22 Acacia Avenue
* Where Eagles Dare
* Revelations
* Still Life
* To Tame A Land
The second pack will contain one song from Powerslave (most of the good songs are official DLC), Somewhere In Time, Seventh Son Of A Seventh Son (probably the rest of the album since it is my favorite IM album), and one song from No Prayer For The Dying. I hope to have this part out before I’m back in college in late August.
* Back In The Village
* Caught Somewhere In Time
* Heaven Can Wait
* The Loneliness Of The Long Distance Runner
* Alexander The Great
* Moonchild
* The Evil That Men Do
* The Prophecy
* Only The Good Die Young
* No Prayer For The Dying
The third pack will have two songs from Fear Of The Dark, two from each of the Blaze Bayley albums (which I personally find to be underrated, even if I think Dickinson is the better singer), and two from Brave New World. The goal is to have this pack mostly completed before I’m back in college and released before September.
* Be Quick Or Be Dead
* Afraid To Shoot Strangers
* The Sign Of The Cross (Live)
* Man On The Edge
* Futureal
* The Clansman (Live)
* Out Of The Silent Planet
* Dream Of Mirrors
The fourth pack will have two songs from Dance Of Death, one from A Matter Of Life And Death, three from The Final Frontier, and two from The Book Of Souls. The goal is to have this portion released before RB4 comes out. And ftr, I do have The Book Of Souls pre-ordered, but I may pirate the album ahead of time only so I can get a head start on charting what I decide to chart from it.
* Dance Of Death
* Paschendale
* Brighter Than A Thousand Suns
* Satellite 15…The Final Frontier
* The Man Who Would Be King
* When The Wild Wind Blows
* ??? (will make my mind when I hear The Book Of Souls)
* ??? (will make my mind when I hear The Book Of Souls)
Also, I saw a darling of RB DLC live in my Indiana hometown the other night with my brother: BOSTON. Even if Brad’s dead, the entire band was on fire. That makes the number of bands in Rock Band (DLC or otherwise) that I’ve seen live = 5. I’ve seen Tom Petty and the Heartbreakers (May 2013), The Smithereens (Tom’s opening act), Yes (July 2014, Chris Squire’s death makes me glad I saw the band live when I did), Judas Priest (October 2014; they were better than what the British Steel DLC would have you believe), and Boston (July 2015). In September, that number will increase to 8 because I’m seeing a 3-band show in Louisville. The bands are Def Leppard, Styx, and Tesla. And in October, that number will increase to 10 as Motley Crue and Alice Cooper are stopping here in my hometown of Evansville, IN.
^ Basically, I am also working on a couple of Boston customs from the awesome show I saw on Wednesday night.
July 18, 2015 at 5:55 am #450615Small Maiden request: Die With Your Boots On maybe please?
July 18, 2015 at 6:16 am #450616Thats quite a healthy platter you got lined up Meander! I’ll be more than happy to help bring more Iron Maiden into the game. There is a few dozen Maiden songs that have either guitar or drums but seeing them got more instruments added is a wonderful thing.
July 18, 2015 at 12:25 pm #450619I am very hopeful to see those Maiden packs happen. If you decide to add Children of the Damned and Stranger in a Strange Land, I would be glad to do vocals for them. Also open to adding vocals to some select others if it helps.
July 18, 2015 at 6:19 pm #450656This week is dedicated to those bearded bluesy American rockers ZZ Top! Oscarj08 has charted their entire first record as well as many other songs from their 70’s discography and one song off their 80’s album Eliminator. All songs have overdrive and drum fill lanes courtesy of me. Cheap Sunglasses has been given a unique song id and few minor drum fill lane changes from my previously released version. Enjoy!

I’ll be back next weekend with more charts!
July 18, 2015 at 10:03 pm #450670Frank Beard is a very underrated drumer, his druming in 70’s reminds me of some prog drumers like Bill Bruford or Phil Collins. “Heard It On The X” is their most difficult drum song i think due to its technique, i cant even play it perfectly on real drums. Also Billy Gibbons is considered one of the best Guitar Players of all time, so guitar charting for ZZ Top would be amazing, love Dusty’s Bass And Keys work, Keys specially on “Deguello”. Amazing band, im just going to update my spreadsheet ” src=”/wp-content/uploads/invision_emoticons/default_SA_smile.gif” />
PD: La Grange is the original studio album version of 1973 “Tres Hombres” it isnt the cover featured on GH3
July 19, 2015 at 12:56 am #450688“Heard it on the X” is an awesome song. I never heard it until I did the conversion. The multitrack cover version of “La Grange” from GH3 is in Spindoctor’s thread. I completely agree that guitar is probably the best instrument in ZZ Top and would be great to see it charted on these songs someday.
July 19, 2015 at 1:06 am #450689Holy Fuck, holy fuck!!! YES.
