Correct. Now, if you can correctly guess which song it is, then that’s pretty much the key to all the other hints.
I feel like I probably should’ve waited a bit to put out hints, though, since this pack won’t actually be done for at least a month…
The only song I can assume would be “Way Away,” since you put out “Poor Leno” and both of those songs were featured in SSX3. Man, I wish I knew where my Gamecube was.

April 14, 2016 at 7:41 pm #467095- Another pop-punk/emo track with a catchy synth riff, this one comes from the first album of a band who recently went on indefinite hiatus.
Motion City Soundtrack – My Favorite Accident?
Edit: Wait a minute, am I on to something? Are these songs from Burnout 3?
- It’s always been a burning question in my mind why we’ve never gotten this popular song by a Scottish indie rock band.
- This song comes from a band who, rather interestingly for a pop-punk band, featured violins. Two songs from the same album as this were released as official DLC.
- A catchy track from a little-known German pop-punk band who have been together for over two decades.
Franz Ferdinand – This Fire
Yellowcard – Breathing
Donots – Saccharine Smile
My all time favorite video game soundtrack.
I let others find out the rest ” src=”/wp-content/uploads/invision_emoticons/default_SA_smile.gif” />
April 14, 2016 at 10:08 pm #467098This is now when I’m realizing I haven’t actually played many games with licensed music as a child. Or listened to much punk/emo bands.
I really enjoy these guessing ones but they’re all beyond me.
May 26, 2016 at 4:39 am #469337Thanks for the Seinfeld Theme, that’s awesome!
May 26, 2016 at 11:02 pm #469360Oh hell yeh Burnout 3 soundtrack is the best and Breathing is one of Yellowcard’s best songs.
May 26, 2016 at 11:21 pm #469361Here’s the hints for next release.
These songs all have something in common – they were all featured in a thing. I’ve previously authored another song that was also in this thing. Also, not all of these songs are guaranteed to happen, depending on how much time and motivation I have, but ideally I’ll do them all.
EDIT: Another song that fits into this theme has suddenly grown on me a lot, and has taken the spot of another song I had planned. This song is still a possibility, but has been moved down in priority, so it might not happen. There’s now a new hint to guess at!
Definitely Happening
- A rather obscure single from the first album of an English indie/pop-rock band who recently released their first album after a split several years ago. (edit: obscure in America, I should say, as I’ve realized that they’re more well-known in their home country)
- It’s always been a burning question in my mind why we’ve never gotten this popular song by a Scottish indie rock band.
- This emo band later turned to a more alt rock/pop-punk sound, but still released many standout tracks like this one from their fifth album.
Probably Happening
- This rap-rock single was made an animated music video featuring a rebellious teen becoming a war hero.
- The shortest song from the first album of one of today’s most popular rock bands – their sound has changed significantly since this record.
- This song comes from a band who, rather interestingly for a pop-punk band, featured violins. Two songs from the same album as this were released as official DLC.
Hopefully Happening
- A catchy track from a little-known German pop-punk band who have been together for over two decades.
- This pop-punk single features a catchy synth riff and has a video featuring a very edible love story.
- Another pop-punk/emo track with a catchy synth riff, this one comes from the first album of a band who recently went on indefinite hiatus.
- A single from a short-lived 2000s punk band who only released two albums – they announced their reunion five years ago and promised new material, but only released 3 songs since then.
So yeah, would be cool to see some guesses come in! I don’t think it should be too hard to figure them out.
1. Funeral For A Friend – Rookie of the Year
2. This Fire – Franz Ferdinand
3. Just Tonight – Jimmy Eat World (hell yeah. I know TomGuy was working on more Jimmy Eat World. I’m glad others are joining him!)
1. Chronic Future – Time and Time Again
2. Fall out Boy – Reinventing the Wheel to Run Myself Over (though technically this is the second album from Fall Out Boy)
3. Breathing – Yellowcard
1. Donots – Saccharine Smile
2. Reggie and The Full Effect – Congratulations Smack and Katie
3. Motion City Soundtrack – My Favorite Accident
4. Autopilot Off – Make a Sound

May 27, 2016 at 2:51 am #469366So if it’s not Funeral for a Friend I’m pretty sure the only remaining bands on the soundtrack from Britain are The Futureheads and The Ordinary Boys
So The Futureheads – Decent Days and Nights
Or
The Ordinary Boys – Over the Counterculture
Both can be described as pop-rock/indie, so there’s really no way to distinguish it based on your hints.

Decent Days and Nights is official DLC

August 12, 2016 at 5:10 pm #473286ill be glad for whatever you release. Along with a certain site moderator your my favourite author.
August 12, 2016 at 6:28 pm #473287Totally, I find your guitar charts most feel like classic Harmonix guitar. Animals is still my favourite set of customs out there. I’d like to know what else you’re working on, but hints are fine.
