After the nightly update, the ability to change the wallpaper and theme disappeared. The personalization panel became empty, and the inscription “activate Windows” appeared in the corner. Although everything looked ok before and the computer was used normally for several years. It seems as if the system reset itself. Is this an update glitch or something more serious?
I once had a situation where after a nightly Windows update, personalization options suddenly disappeared, I couldn’t change the wallpaper or themes, and an activation message appeared in the corner. Everything had been working for years without any problems, so it seemed strange that the system had “forgotten” that it was activated. Then I used kms activator to restore the status, and everything went back to its place without reinstalling or complicated manipulations.
