So, since I finished testing these a year ago, I think it’s time to release them even though they are nothing like the C3 customs.
ATTENTION! This is NOT a C3 project nor are these releases. These songs are missing keys and little to no polishing has been applied to guitar and bass. These are very old songs I did for the Rush Rock Band project, which in itself is a project I started when I was very young, authoring wise, so please do not expect the same standards we have now on any instrument. The only reason I’m releasing these is because people are asking for them and not releasing them because they’re missing keys is not a great idea after all. Please, don’t “hey, the fade out is not perfect” or “guitar needs fixing!” because I know these aren’t C3 grade: again, since I don’t know if I’ll ever bring this project to C3 standards, it seemed kinda silly to hold on to these. If you’re familiar with the Rush Rock Band project, these customs though are on par with the quality of the other songs released under that “brand”. If you’re not:
WHAT’S IN
– Full Magma compatibility
– Pro drums and drums special notes (cymbal washes, rolls, etc.)
– Disco flip markers for standard drums
– Vocals with full harmonies where needed
– Overdrive, unison overdrives, activation fills for drums
– All difficulties compliance only (notes are copied exactly from Expert difficulty)
– Guitar, bass, keys and drums solos sections marked
– Percussions for vocals
– Complete songs data (album cover, track info, difficulty ratings, etc.)
– Count in and no fade out
WHAT’S OUT
– Venue, practice sections and animation data
– Easy, Medium and Hard for all instruments (notes are only copied from Expert)
– Pro keys (notes are only copied from standard keys) – they are now disabled in the file ” src=”/wp-content/uploads/invision_emoticons/default_SA_biggrin.gif”>
– Double bass drum charting (it’s very limited in the Rush songs I packaged anyway)
NOTES
– All pro instruments also have standard charts.
– Anything that was already charted I sometimes slightly tweak to make it more realistic or less awkward to play IMHO and/or more Rock Band friendly.
Anyway, back to Roll the Bones. Good album, not my favourite but, incidentally, with one of my favourite songs (Ghost of a Chance, the chorus lyrics are basically an anthem for me) and with some very good songs like Bravado and Dreamline. If you’re down with tongue twisters, You Bet Your Life is for you.
All guitar and bass charts are FoF ports, the originals are by narutostarwars123456, who’s a great guy and who did an amazing amount of Rush charts. Drums are a port but with some editing.
Enjoy!

October 4, 2013 at 1:10 pm #407323This is some good stuff guys. I mean, I’m the first to complain about X-only, but the charts are otherwise pretty great and the drums are always fun when it comes to Rush ” src=”/wp-content/uploads/invision_emoticons/default_SA_biggrin.gif” />
October 4, 2013 at 1:42 pm #407326This album is growing on me. I will absolutely have to give this a look-in.
October 4, 2013 at 1:50 pm #407328Any chance of some C3 pollish of this down the line? I know a friend who would love to have this album playable but he isn’t exactly a Expert player
October 4, 2013 at 1:59 pm #407329I don’t know if I’ll ever bring this project to C3 standardsMy understanding is that it’s very unlikely. There’s a bunch of other Rush songs that he did, and if he ever got soo bored that instead of charting new stuff he decided to spend a few months just fixing these up, I doubt this would be the first album to go.
October 4, 2013 at 5:41 pm #407354This was the album that got me introduced to the band back in the early 90’s. Thank you so much farottone! Going to rock these on Pro Drums tonight!
October 4, 2013 at 6:43 pm #407362YESSSSSS! I love Roll The Bones, I saw them on the first date of their Clockwork Angels 2012 tour and they played Wheres My Thing and I went nuts lol
October 4, 2013 at 9:03 pm #407380Thanks for these and all of the Rush songs that you did! Roll the Bones isone of my favorite Rush albums!
Do you also have Vapor Trails hiding somewhere? That one is my favorite.

Hint hint, aspiring authors.

I wouldn’t mind taking a look at a few of them. The keys in Dreamline and Face Up would be easy enough, and it’s possible to do The Big Wheel if you just do the single notes, which are more fun anyway. Of course, I’d fix everything else that would need fixing as well.
The rest are…doubtful.
EDIT: Where’s My Thing is also a distinct possibility.
October 5, 2013 at 7:25 am #407408AWESOME! Thanks for posting. The people I play with will be pissed about X only, but they can deal with it on no-fail. Should only make em better. The huge Rush catalog you have on the spreadsheet was like finding a goldmine. Hope there’s some newer Rush sometime like Vapor Trails or Snakes and Arrows.

Vapor Trails is not my favourite album, but I’ve prepped a few songs off it and since they’ve re-released it to fix the awful mixing, I may tackle it. ” src=”/wp-content/uploads/invision_emoticons/default_SA_smile.gif”>
October 5, 2013 at 1:49 pm #407412I decided to record myself playing the full album on Pro Drums the other day. If anybody is wondering what the charts look like for Pro Drums and Vocals have a peek. It was a pleasure to play. ” src=”/wp-content/uploads/invision_emoticons/default_SA_smile.gif” />
