Hello all,
With the help of DoNotPassGo, I’ve got two fully-charted versions of BU2B: One for the single version and the other for the album version:
Single Version:
Album Version:
Enjoy!
May 24, 2014 at 7:28 pm #420983Having a quick look at the project, it seems you’ve placed the same audio onto each part, which is a bad idea as it distorts the audio and can cause random dips when someone misses a note. If you don’t have stems, what you want to do is place just one audio file on the BACKING part in Magma, and set the rest to stems full of silence. Just right-click the fields telling you to select the audio and pick the silence that corresponds with your audio’s bit rate and sample rate.
May 24, 2014 at 10:16 pm #420990I did not know that. I’ve mostly been self taught up to this point for making customs. I’ve actually been making them for myself for awhile, but this is my first time sharing one. Thanks for the tip ” src=”/wp-content/uploads/invision_emoticons/default_SA_smile.gif” />
May 26, 2014 at 10:20 pm #421138Thank you for more Rush.
May 27, 2014 at 1:33 am #421152hey i saw the chart and is amazing, great job guys, only one thing, I THINK on drums that there are some kicks excess but only on a few spots, anyways Neil Is a Drum God ” src=”/wp-content/uploads/invision_emoticons/default_SA_smile.gif” />

Just one of those things that sucks when:
– you cannot get stems
– there are not any tabs/sheets out for the music (Drums at least)
– the only Youtube videos are covers (personal touches) or Rush Live (Peart mixes up as well from album)
– the studio mixing of Clockwork Angels was not the best (poor blending in a lot of areas)
Honestly, I would use my own knowledge of the song first, and then use some youtube covers to see what most* people did if something was really tricky. Lastly, especially for the Bass drum, I tuned the EQ to make the lower end pop, but that sometimes causes the Bass drum and bass guitar to become hard to decipher.
There may indeed be an extra note or double bass when it may not be, and if someone has good knowledge that the chart is wrong in spots please make note. I personally would like to make the drum parts perfect (personal side project which can be found in the WIP section), and if ejthedj is open for updating he may as well.
I have my own personal .cpp (with drums only) which I can lend out if people would like to touch things up. Just message me.

May 28, 2014 at 3:36 am #421229The song is really cool, but what are the differences between the single and album versions? Sounds like the album version has an intro the single version doesn’t.
May 28, 2014 at 1:25 pm #421252It’s been a while since I bought the Caravan single, but if I recall, that and maybe some keys effects during the bridge were the only differences between the two versions.

I originally gave him my chart for the album only (which I was working on), and he said it worked perfectly in both (minus that intro) ha.
May 31, 2014 at 5:50 am #421481Finally got around to playing this. It’s my favorite Rush song off Clockwork angels. You did a killer job. Thank you so much!
June 1, 2014 at 6:22 am #421568No problem. If you’d like, here’s an updated version with some drum fixes from oscarj. I also remixed the audio per Lowlander’s advice:
In addition, I’ve charted the vocals and EMHed the guitar and bass tracks for BU2B2:

Enjoy ” src=”/wp-content/uploads/invision_emoticons/default_SA_smile.gif” />

Will you guys do more Clockwork Angels Stuff On Full Band? I know DoNotPassGo is doing ProDrums wich i can help too.
June 1, 2014 at 5:27 pm #421589Thanks for the update to this song.
June 1, 2014 at 6:51 pm #421594Once my laptop comes back from repair (damn you ASUS), I’ll be able to start pumping out things more quickly.
I’m sending him a song or two tomorrow which I have done, and I’ll probably throw in the BU2B2 file as well. If you wanted to help, I have a Clockwork Angels basically finished. I screwed up the BPM map, so I scrapped it and I was waiting for me computer back to correct it. If you’re willing to put a new map on you can work on that if you want? I won’t have it back till the end of the week likely .
