Hey guys,
So I’m new to these forums as I just discovered the huge variety of custom songs all the amazing creators on these forums have created for fans of Rock Band to play and enjoy. I love so many of the song already available, but there is one band that has seemingly never been given a second glance by the authors on these forums, the authors who contributed to Rock Band Network, or Harmonix developers themselves. Though, to be fair, these guys are definitely not a band most think of when it comes to heavy metal.
Of course, I’m talking about Running Wild. They are a German heavy metal band who have been creating music since the early 80’s and have been rocking ever since, with their most recent album having come out in August 2016! They have a lot of songs that are awesome epic metal masterpieces, though friends and family I’ve mentioned them to refuse to give them a shred of a chance because many of their greatest hits came out after the band transitioned from thrash/heavy metal to what some would call “pirate” metal. The front man, Rolf Kasparek, even began calling himself “Captain Rolf” around the time of the transition, but I digress.
The reason I created an account today on these forums was in the hopes that I could perhaps introduce this band and its style of music to some of you fellow forum-goers and maybe inspire one or more of you to maybe create some custom songs for Rock Band 3. I simply do not have the time to learn how to create customs myself anymore… For if I did I would devote much of my spare time learning the craft and turning some of this band’s songs into customs for others to enjoy.
Before I make this post into even more of an essay, allow me to name a few songs that I would absolutely love to see turned into custom songs for RB3. These songs are what I personally consider to be the band’s absolute best songs, with the best of the best having an asterisk (*) following the name of the song:

I know the above is a massive wishlist, but if even one of the asterisked songs becomes a custom song one day, even for just expert guitar, I will be happy. For any of you who have never heard of this band or its music, and I know there are many of you, I would recommend listening to “Black Hand Inn,” the titular song from the album of the same name. It’s one of those songs where if you don’t like it, then you won’t like the band or its style. It encompasses so much of what the band is (or, depending on who you ask, was) all about. I thank you if you have read this far into this massive post; with the Internet reducing most of our attention spans to nothing, I genuinely appreciate those who take time out of their day to read the ramblings of a random forum user on the interwebs. Rock on!
