-So far we know it’s guitar only, singing is optional. No drums or bass.

    – Walk This Way By Aerosmith On Setlist

    – Setlist will be around 55-85 songs.

    – You can use any bluetooth enabled guitar controller and have oculus touch attached to it.

Rock Band in name only, then? ironic, really, how HMX seems to be continually putting older and older concepts onto new platforms.

you’d think with a guitar controller you’d at least be able to play bass, but i guess after “no freestyle bass solos” we know they simply don’t care.

This seems cool and all, but one problem – I CAN’T AFFORD AN OCULUS RIFT. The one thing I hope from it is that if there’s any new songs for VR that have NOT been included in regular Rock Band, that those songs will come to regular Rock Band as well. Like, I’m not sure if it is true, but apparently Gold On The Ceiling by The Black Keys is gonna be on VR? I dunno if it is but if so, I want that song for RB4 man.

Guitar only? It’s cool to see that Harmonix is trying to get a nostalgic feeling of Guitar Hero 1 in 2005… (Irony)

Guitar only is a nonstarter for me even if I had an Oculus.

Maybe they’re going to add the missing features one at a time over a period of years.

I’m sure they would have called it Guitar Hero VR if they still owned that IP, but RBVR is fine, I guess. They have been really skimpy on the details, though. What I have been able to gather is that its main focus is on freestyle guitar, not standard note-matching gameplay.

Game is coming out Thursday and that the final setlist was announced recently (all 60 songs).

Looks like a good number of the songs (looks about a third to a half) are from previous RB games and DLC, new charts from previous bands, and quite a number I have never heard of either, but you know the drill <img decoding=” src=”/wp-content/uploads/invision_emoticons/default_SA_wink.gif” />

My only beef is that HMX keeps picking Coldplay songs from A Head Full of Dreams, but of course, music licensing.
