Apologies if this has been covered already, a search didn’t bring anything up.
I saw the other day that some of the tracks for Rock Band VR had been announced. Will customs of those songs have to be removed? If so, should it be immediately or at release?
They’re doing Champagne Supernova for it so want to remove my custom if needed

On the article I saw tho, It looks like most of those tracks will end up as RB4 DLC. So, yeah Oasis & Ghost will be gone most likely from our DB.

The recent news posting official site for the game says “some”. So they’re being nebulous as to which ones will end up as DLC. A number of the songs listed were released for RB in the past, but not for RB4. HMX has been re-releasing tracks from previous games, so I have a feeling those might be done first.
To me, seems really damn weird and a bit stupid to remove a full-band custom for a guitar-only version with no guarantee that the song will be released as DLC.
I’ll leave it where it is for now but will remove if announced for RB4, or advised to by admins before then

We won’t remove/ask to remove songs in RBVR, no, there is no overlap with Rock Band 4 in terms of sales. However, keep in mind that they are licensing, probably, for their business in general, so we are bound to see RBVR songs in Rock Band 4. If you are authoring to release, it’s probably safer not to touch RBVR featured songs, but it’s ultimately your call.
I’m not saying I know RBVR songs will be released for RB4 and even if I did I couldn’t say anyway, it’s just a personal suggestion to avoid wasting time in case you take most of the satisfaction for authoring a song in releasing it.
