Does anyone own it? if so is it worth it? it’s much cheaper than the drum kits I can’t really lug around my E-Kit so I’m looking for something well “portable”.

From what I remember, it wasn’t spectacular but it worked. I only used it a little bit for playing PC rhythm games several (Amazon says >8) years ago.

I’m satisfied with the one I have. Though, it’s not the right choice for every player. I’ve been using it for my RB3/customs set up for a while now. It works, but there are some things you should keep in mind. First off, you need a relatively large, flat surface for the drums to rest on. Said surface needs to be at a height where it’s comfortable for you to sit, reach the drums, and hit them reliably. This took a lot of experimentation on my part, personally. Another thing to keep in mind is that the pedal that comes with it is not a standard RB kick pedal, rather it’s more like your average keyboard’s sustain pedal. Some other things that come to mind are that the drums may drift a little bit if you’re hit them too hard since they’re all separate, and you have to hit the pads pretty dead-center to register a hit. As far as I can tell, you can’t use Pro Drums mode with it either.

While this may seem like an overall negative overview, it really depends on the kind of player you are. For me, a fairly-ok-to-decent Expert non-Pro drummer, the portable kit suits my needs satisfactorily enough. Just keep in mind the limitations of the kit and the setup required.

Yeah, I decided to grab one I found on E-Bay for $30 bucks I will at some point try to grab a RB2 drum kit so it can be wireless and maybe add cymbals for pro but I’m mostly just grabbing it to bring to my friends for our rock band parties and the portable one is neat even if it requires some setup.

I have the same questions. I have the drums for wii, but I converted to xbox, but I don’t have a drumset for that. Do you guys think they’ll just clip on to another rock band drumset?

As long as you have an elevated surface to place them on you’re good. Also plug in a standard kick pedal instead of the one that comes with the kit.
