2016 has been an apocalyptic year for musicians and this morning I awoke to find bassist/vocalist for ELP Greg Lake had died from cancer at age 69. He joins his bandmate Keith Emerson who died earlier this year. Not only did he front one of the most popular and influential prog bands ever but he was a founding member of King Crimson and did vocals for their first 2 albums. I and my pals will definitely be releasing more from Mr. Lake’s body of work in the future.
Until then farewell Lucky man ” src=”/wp-content/uploads/invision_emoticons/default_SA_frown.gif” />
Yeah I saw the post earlier. This is sad; one of the greatest band ever and only one member still alive. Carry on Palmer; don’t die in 2016 plz.
It’s kinda weird to think about. Like whenever I listen to ELP i’m going to have to remind myself now that 2/3 member are gone.
Good gawsh…2016 has been one bear of a year to Rock and Roll…R.I.P. Greg Lake.
I just learned of this great ELP song a week ago. Seems appropriate.
