Sad but not unexpected news up here in Canada.

    http://www.cbc.ca/news/entertainment/gord-downie-obit-1.4359906

Gord was the lead singer for the Tragically Hip, one of Canada’s most famous rock bands since the early 80’s.

    He will be greatly missed.

Doc and I will be doing a tribute for him and Tom Petty in an upcoming episode of “Showdown” as well as a few Hip songs for the next Canada 150 pack at the end of November.

Please shoot me a PM if you’re also working on a tribute so we’re not doing the same songs I would appreciate it.

It’s a sad day for us Canadians.

We are losing the greats way to often lately it seems.

Canada has lost a great Vocalist.

Never meet your heroes, they say, but I think Gord would have been an exception. The world is just not the same.

It was such sad news. I can’t wait for the Long Time Running doc to be released. One of Canada’s most iconic singers is no longer with us <img decoding=” src=”/wp-content/uploads/invision_emoticons/default_SA_frown.gif” />
