So I’ve used C3 Con Tools nee LeFluffie successfully in the past to do things like change songs titles, album names, etc. As I recall, you drop a Con onto the Tools winndow, then when it opens you click the Content tab, click on songs, and extract the songs.dta data file. After saving a new instance of the file, you make your edits, and then save your new file over the previous one.
Is that right? The problem is, when I go to replace it, the log says “Error replacing songs.dta.” Is there something simple I’m forgetting to do?
Thanks for anyone who can help. I definitely tried figuring it out myself, especially since I’m a bit self-conscious of begging help considering the quote of mine currently in TrojanNemo’s sig.
March 15, 2014 at 5:50 am #415597I messed up something. I’ll track it down for next update. In the meantime, Quick DTA editor seems to be working correctly. If all you’re doing is editing the songs.dta file, use that. It’s much quicker anyways.
And sorry I derped this tool. It’s getting increasingly difficult to keep track of everything on my own when I’m handling more than 32,000 lines of code on C3 CON Tools alone
EDIT: bug found and fixed. Just got to wait until v3.1.1 drops ” src=”/wp-content/uploads/invision_emoticons/default_SA_smile.gif” />

I appreciate the response. No worries for the issues, I’m sure it’s a lot to manage singlehandedly, and I’m grateful for it.
I did try Quick DTA editor first, but I had issues with that too: When I try to open a file to edit, I get a dialogue box that says Cannot find the C:Program Files (x86) C3 Con Toolstemp_dta.txt file. Do you want to create a new file? Checking yes or no results in a blank text file. Any suggestions? I have the latest version of C3 Tools and before upgrading it, updated my .net framework.
March 15, 2014 at 8:20 pm #415609That’s a goddamned Windows permission error. Either run the program in administrator mode or move it out of Program Files. I’ll see if I can have the temp files go somewhere that won’t require administrator privileges.
