I run Reaper on 2 monitors. Main project on left and MIDI editor on right.
When I undoc the MIDI editor and drag it to the right monitor, you can actually see the timebase slide.
How do I get the scroll on the MIDI editor to match the main project when I have the MIDI editor undocked?
When docked, MIDI scroll works fine. Undocked, it drives me crazy
It’s almost as if Reaper is trying to extend the timeline over to the 2nd monitor instead of syncing the MIDI editor to the main program screen.
I think this is a question for the Reaper’s forums rather than for a forum of a small subset of its users.
NP.
I’ll move it to one of those.
Since we are constrained to 4.22, I thought I’d check here.

You will find the Reaper users stick to certain versions anyway, it’s not a customs thing, so oddds are you will find a solution.
If you find an answer to this, please post it back here. I’m curious as well. It can be annoying if want both windows visible when editing.
I had the same problem when I window snap, This is the option I use…
In the MIDI Editor > View > Piano roll timebase > Project Beats

PERFECT!
That fixed it.
This was driving me nuts.
Thank you so much
