Happy to be of help!
it only works in common genres like pop, rock, etc….But what about Progressive ? ” src=”/wp-content/uploads/invision_emoticons/default_SA_cheeky.001.gif” />.Actually, a lot of Prog songs would be easy to use standard practice sections on as well. 21st Century Schizoid Man for example, it would start with Riff/Chorus sections, then a Build Up section, then some Fast Part or alternate Riff descriptions once the fast stuff starts, Keyboard Solo for the Sax fuckery, Bridge for that part where everything sounds muffled, etc. etc.
May 15, 2014 at 11:42 pm #42038721st century schizoid man is more psychodelic than progressive.Well, all the In the courtesy of the crimson king album
May 15, 2014 at 11:44 pm #420388Don’t turn this into a genre fight man ” src=”/wp-content/uploads/invision_emoticons/default_SA_cheeky.001.gif” />

That cover of an amazing song of ELP is a proof of what im talking about progressive songs.

May 16, 2014 at 12:31 am #420398Yeah, we don’t need genre arguing or even Practice sessions discussions (though NL gave a great description which is very useful) in the thread about how this forum works. Genre arguing can be addressed in the General discussions forum and Practice sessions in the Authoring support one. ” src=”/wp-content/uploads/invision_emoticons/default_SA_smile.gif”>
May 16, 2014 at 12:54 am #420399Oh man I’m an idiot. I thought the bridge was the lead up to the chorus, that it “bridges” the end of the verse with the beginning of the chorus.
I really should have taken more music classes when I was in high school. You were required to take at least 1 year of music or arts. I took two years of art. I don’t know what a fucking bridge is but I made some mean ceramic bowls.

Literally. I’m going to throw up fists if people waste time arguing genres instead of putting out more awesome FB songs. That’s a waste of good fists, as Disturbed would put it.
May 17, 2014 at 3:07 pm #420487Your thread needs two things:
- Up to six songs you have finished and are currently pushing for release.
- Up to ten songs you have not yet authored that you would like to reserve.
Does our thread really need two things or just one?
In other words, can I just reserve a few songs or do I have to have a finished custom under consideration in order to do so?
May 17, 2014 at 4:48 pm #420497In other words, can I just reserve a few songs or do I have to have a finished custom under consideration in order to do so?You should ideally have at least one full song ready to go, but we won’t stop people from making reservation threads if they already have an Other Customs thread with a bunch of songs that show their willingness and ability to follow through. If some rando creates a reservation-only thread, it’ll be deleted. You’re probably OK, Colonel.
June 19, 2014 at 12:31 pm #422835Hello this is crazycoolcat5 with a question: Can we make songs that we have already told the public we would like to see it authored?
June 19, 2014 at 1:26 pm #422836Hello this is crazycoolcat5 with a question: Can we make songs that we have already told the public we would like to see it authored?Nobody’s going to stop you from making your own customs. If you’ve made a request, it’d be nice if you update your request thread to indicate that you’re working on it.
For the Show Floor, you need to have a track record (a few songs you’ve authored in your own customs thread, etc.) before you can make a Show Floor reservation thread:

June 28, 2014 at 6:26 pm #423615Added a couple new twists to OP. The intent is to help give at least limited feedback, attract authors, and keep the Show Floor cleaner:
3. Your song will get a quick “triage” by an expert. A quick 15-minute review will let other authors know how much work might be involved to bring the song up to C3 release standards. This might also be your cue to put in a little more polish.
7. Orphans. If no author decides to sponsor your song after 30 days, then it’s either too much work, or didn’t quite mesh with anyone’s tastes. Please pull the song off the Show Floor and release it in your own custom thread.
July 18, 2014 at 4:04 am #424843Hey, i’m seriously considering learning how to use reaper to author songs. if i can figure out how to make songs with reaper, i will probably submit them to the show floor. but one question that have is : do you need to chart pro instruments? thanks.
