So recently i’ve been doing projects in reaper, and came across Box Car Racers. I really loved the song “The End With You”
I’ve done most of the song so far, but what really got me stuck and tried many times to perfect the interlude, and tried in game and doesn’t feel right.
The Interlude (drum solo) starts at 1:58 and ends at 2:35.
and sounds so good as a Drum Solo.
But i need tips on how to chart this interlude. tried Grid: 1/64 and 1/128, but seem to mess up ” src=”/wp-content/uploads/invision_emoticons/default_SA_cheeky.001.gif” />
if anyone knows a guy that knows insane drum charting methods can ya’ message me regarding on these tips?
would love to know this method or advice, this song is too good to sound just like a perfect punk song.
Sounds like the drums are in a triplet grid. Try keeping the grid at 1/16th, but then changing the thing after it from “Straight” to “Triplet” and it should work. This can also happen with any other instrument, so watch out for this in the future.
I’ll try it out tomorrow!
use the bass and snare as your guide. make sure those land on the 1 and 3 beat in a measure. once you have your tempo to match this you can add everything else on top of it
