Guess the DT curse is still following me lol, Dt – enigma machine was allso taken down cause it was out of synch, took me couple week to retempo map that. I wont take racecar down but i will re tempomap and reupload it at some point and tell when the new version is up.

Thats how it is with me, sadly not many if any chart full band with this genre. Sucks that for the most part its just mainstream music and other pop crap cause it yeild more downloads, personally i dont give a shit about that, i just wanna play fun hard awesome music.

Also, anybody doing single instrument versions of complex songs already knows why we don’t have a ton of them: they’re very hard to author. So, they only do the instrument they like to play and they don’t author the others: if they HAD to author all instruments or no song at all, they would just drop the song altogether 99 times out of 100.

Everyone knows that C3 is powered by the tears of those who download songs blindly expecting them to be single instrument only, obscure music that they can only play by themselves, and instead are disappointed to find full band songs with high party appeal and popularity that make for a good time playing with friends.

Everyone knows this.

 

As much as I love metal and progressive rock, I’m generally the only one who enjoys playing those songs. The friends I generally play with on the occasional weekend prefer the more “radio friendly/top 40” pop or rock songs, so I really appreciate when those songs are released/announced as being worked on by someone. A rock band party is much more fun when everyone knows a majority of the songs, as opposed to a library they don’t even know how to pronounce the bands name. Thanks again though for all the hard work done here though.

you guys made more metal, i presume you are talking metal overall cause most of those bands except IWABO are mainstream bands. Im talking prog,djent and the like. You guys made one DT album which is awesome but thats about it. Then again i dont look at what C3 release anymore so i could be wrong.

 

This was never meant as a rant but turned into it when the brigade rolled in. So lets end it here… i need to get back to making no where near the super epic awesome C3 standard low end one instrument customs that only wierd people and mutants like.

The point is that you compared apples and oranges. ” src=”/wp-content/uploads/invision_emoticons/default_SA_smile.gif”> If you released full band songs, with practice sessions, EMHX, etc., your point would have been very valid: you like to do challenging stuff, we do more mainstream (though as NL pointed out we did a lot of Pantera, Dream Theater, industrial, etc.). But you don’t, you only do the instrument you play. Which is of course ok, that’s what you like playing, but if you had to do all instruments (as we have to do), would you still do those songs?

 

And it’s awesome that people do songs we don’t, I’ve said this from the beginning. Every time I see being authored some obscure prog band or some electronic stuff I don’t like, it feels great, because it’s more diverse. It’s just that I personally don’t see the point of saying things like “Sucks that for the most part its just mainstream music and other pop crap cause it yeild more downloads” because we would never say things like “Sucks that a lot of new author do single instruments shit that nobody cares about”. It’s just about respecting what people do, and there’s a way to say it. That fair enough but as i said it never was meant as an “attack” or bad mouthing C3. There is a reason why i learned to make customs and you guys do something else which is fine, still its not like me wanting to see the custom schene going somewhere else is anything diffrent to the guy in the custom request section wanting to have 40 songs charted by some swedish pogo stick techno alternative band. We all got preferences and opinions.
