Thanks for your hint regarding old CON tools.

Indeed I converted the song with the CON tools 3.72 and it works fine until the end (looping issue).

I will try to convert the song with an older version of the tools and report if it works.

There’s still a looping issue regarding Journey songs released on 05th June.

I tried a several things (conversion with all three types including looping fix during conversion and looping fix after conversion) but I cannot fix this damn looping problem.

 

The present songs made by Farottone (e.g. Don’t look any further, Girl is mine, aso) all work fine.

 

Is there anybody else who got problems with the Journey songs?

I was having a problem with just “wheel in the sky” and “stone in love.” I didn’t report it because “any way you want it” is still the best and 10 journey songs is plenty. My tools never do the delay/ wait 10 seconds option either. It just converts the song into a format that can’t be read. Am I doing something wrong or is it something my computer is missing?

I need to check my version of CONTools. I did a conversion of the Journey songs before you posted the official PS3 files, and they worked without looping.

When I downloaded the official PS3 versions, they looped.

I do know I used the 3rd encryption option when doing the conversions.

OK. When the Journey pack was released, BEFORE you posted PS3 files, I used 3.7.3 with Type 3 encryption on the CON files. I’m pretty darned sure there were no issues with the looping.

I realized that’s the latest release so maybe this doesn’t help much.

 

We are going to re-convert these and test them this weekend with 3.7.3.

I’ll report back what we see.

3.7.3 and Type 3 encryption works.

We ran through Faithfully, Stone in Love, Open Arms, and Lights with NO looping.

Drums and Vox.

Nope, just stock Type 3.

We did notice Careless Whisper was looping last night.

I’m going to do the same to that CON and see if it fixes the issue.

Yeah, thanks for the hint.

Unfortunately we are just a small minority (PS3) and it looks like the XBOX360 got no problems playing the songs made by the broken Magma tool. So the authors seem not beeing aware of this problem.

 

Is there any place we could announce this issue and ask all of the authors to update their tools?
