EOF writes root notes and fret (left) hand positions to MIDI though, this hasn’t changed in ages. If somebody has an EOF project file that doesn’t result in those elements in the MIDI when saved, please send it (the project file, not the MIDI) to me so I can take a look. Otherwise it doesn’t sound like it’s an EOF problem.
You know what was EOF’s fault? Running status. That was why MIDI Tester was saying the notes had Velocity 0…NAudio sees them as NoteOns
If it wasn’t because I know you like running status and, well, you taught me what it was in the first place, I would have never realized that was the problem here. I have to constantly check around that with NAudio.
If Magma/Naudio are still causing problems regarding running status, I can add a command line switch for midishrink to write the MIDI WITHOUT running status. This will basically have the opposite effect, so we could call it a “bloat” switch. Let me know if this would be helpful, this would probably be very trivial for me to add. Although it would make it harder to get HUGE MIDIs built for customs, which was the original purpose for the utility.
Well no keep it as is. Like I said, I already work around it constantly, and it’s not like I’m planning to add much more that deals with those MIDI files. In this case I switched around the code and forget that one tiny thing in that last update. But it’s resolved now, no need to bloat up the customs ” src=”/wp-content/uploads/invision_emoticons/default_SA_smile.gif” />
Stop stopping my break, OK? Redownload Magma from the thread and try with that.
But sadly there are the all too common missing root note and missing left hand animation errors that require more work on the pro charts before MagmaCompiler will accept them. But I’m sure PikminGuts92 can help you with that.
I completely missed the “root note” lines 4-15 section when copying the EOF chart into the C3 template. I am finally able to compile these Pro Guitar/Bass charts! ” src=”/wp-content/uploads/invision_emoticons/default_SA_biggrin.gif” />
