Hello,
I have trouble with the pack creator tool :
I try to make a Metallica-RideTheLightning(Album) pack but the generated file make my X-box 360 crash when RB3 try to load the new file.
I try three time to make the file and every attempt make a file with a different size :
– 188 Mo the first time
– 223 Mo the second time
– 171 Mo the third time.
It is very weird.
Is there an explanation for this ?
You have one or more corrupt/damaged CON files in that group of songs and it’s messing up the tool. Make sure you have the latest version of the tools, and make sure each of those songs works fine in game individually before trying to pack them together.
I delete the pack from my 360 hard drive and reimport individually all the song from this album and the import work just fine. But there are 2 songs I didn’t play yet.
The 2 songs work good as well.
And I have the same problem when I try to load a pack of songs from “1987” by “Whitesnake” which Farotone has release 2 day ago (he release the songs, and I made the pack)
I check id and all are wipe proof, there is no id conflict between songs in the pack or with songs in the pack and songs in my cache.
I rebuild my cache 2 days ago, so it is clean.
Just a good point between Metallica pack and Whitesnake pack : when I rebuild the pack, the size is exactly the same for Whitesnake.
Are you sure you’re picking up songs from the right folder?
Yes.
The pack size is 56 972 ko.
I also try to load the pack without hard drive, with only TU4 and the pack file on my usb and the game also crash on loading the file
Just double checking…from reading and an attempted test – Can I conclude that the pack creator is only for Xbox (no PS3). It makes sense, but I am at the song limit on PS3 and it would be great to move 50 songs at a time in and out of the game based on my mood. Sometimes you’re in a yacht rock kind of mood, and sometimes you want to break stuff in the mosh pit…
