So I’m using Le Fluffie to create packs of the custom songs and custom pro upgrades that ive used from C3 and RBHP and I just have a couple of quick questions.

Number 1, will a custom pro upgrade work if I pack it without the song?

Example, Stone Temple Pilots…. someone created a pro upgrade for dead and bloated and also Sex type thing. I own those DLC songs but if I pack the upgrade without the song files, will they still work?

Number 2, I read that if you have nearly 300 files (not sure of the exact number) on a usb stick that it will cause rock band to crash?

If I make a pack of say 100 songs, will it count as 1 file for the pack or 100 files for each song and upgrade?

I’m sorry if this is somewhere else in the forums, I’ve tried searching and couldn’t find the answers. Thanks so much for any help and also for the awesome job you’re doing on customs.

      I totally forgot your PM.

      1. I believe it should work. You can have independent pro upgrade files loose in your HDD and the game picks them up. A pack is just a collection of files that loads quicker, but as far as the game knows, it should still be the same thing. To be honest, I don’t mess with pro upgrades and while I tried to make that feature fully functional, all I can say is “it should work.” Try it. What’s the worst that can happen?

      2. There is no limit. Some people say after x amount of songs on a flash drive the game stops seeing the files, and that’s a problem with whatever program they’re using. I know users on here have more than 256 files on their USB and it works fine. But some people will insist. Because those people don’t listen.

In any case, 1 pack made with Le Fluffie that has 100 songs is 1 file for that “limit”. If you have 5 packs of 100 songs, the game will load 5 files at runtime. You may notice that is considerably faster than loading 500 items at runtime. However, your song count WILL increase by 500, so you’re still limited to the overall song limit of 2,952 songs on the Xbox.

Thank you for your answer, sir. Its ok that you missed my PM, you’re a busy person. Well, I will try the pro pack after work and post an update. I dont have anywhere near 2952 songs, so that shouldnt be a problem. Thanks again!

Just a quick follow up Mr. Nemo sir. Creating packs with custom pro upgrades does in fact work with official dlc saved on the hard drive. Pretty sweet job with that Le Fluffie. <~~~I feel a little feminine saying or typing this.
