Welcome. I have long wanted to contribute to this community. I have been reading everything I could and trying to learn how to give back to this incredible community. I started with reductions of expert only songs. I learned from that. I got better a little at a time. With a lot of sage advice from Farottone, I slowly started to grasp conversions. With all the great tools that have been made available, I began to get better at that. I have been working on reductions for quite some time and with the addition of conversions, I can contribute like I’ve wanted to for quite a while. I’ll not bore you with too much more text.

Included will be:
Reductions: not just CAT reductions but hand checked. Most songs were probably done long before CAT. It is a great tool and I will use it for: fixing sustain lengths, creating some base reductions and other cool stuff… thanks Farottone, that is a very cool tool.

Guitar Hero conversions: They will be changed from original to remove the stank from them. They will have redone portions on every instrument. The reductions will be more like the RBN guidelines. I’m sorry if you want straight conversions, I’m not your guy.

Other conversions: Possibly Phase Shift or FoF. Proper reductions, fixes and overdrive/unison/drum fills.

Having already given shout outs to Farottone, I need to thank the whole bunch of C3 people for all the tools and knowledge. This will be like an Oscar speech if I individually thank everyone that help or inspired me. Thank you all.

I do not know exactly the origin of this one. It was a con with harmonies and all instruments. I did overdrives/unisons/drum fills/reductions. It has same censored part as GH Aerosmith version. I believe it was originally converted from that. It has multitracks for guitar and bass.

This was originally done by the spike, MrMet added vocals and changed guitar. I changed back to original guitar as it just felt wrong playing part of bass part on guitar.

Congrats on starting out. Lots of people seem to think that making customs automatically means you’ll only be making tracks from scratch, but there’s so much source material out there to work with. I hope you continue to fill out those missing GH songs. There’s still a ton left.

Thank you everybody for kind words and encouragement. I hope somebody out there enjoys these, I know I did as a player. If one person has a good time, it is worth the many hours I’ve put into learning to do this. I want to keep getting better at it, so critique is welcome. I do it because I love it and I imagine the joy others will have playing. The same joy I feel when I get a cool new song. Other authors have been bringing that to me for a long time.

I don’t play drums much so it is kind of hard for me. My friend is an actual drummer in real life so I have him play them and let me know if they are wacked somehow. If he misses it I do also unfortunately. I do have a hard time with the editing of Guitar Hero drums, as I am not that well versed in the drums and if they charted the expert difficulty poorly then it is very hard for me to tell. I’m sure the reductions also suffer the same misgivings. I appreciate the critique, it will help me become better. I’ll give it a look pronto. If you have any pointers, I’m glad to hear them.
