Hint for song #1 – To start things off, we have something from one of my favorite Hard Rock/Hair Metal albums. This band recorded the album, got an American record deal, remixed album along with new Guitar & Bass players and started a string of successful albums in the US. This ballad-y track is amongst my favorites from this returning-to-the-Funhouse band.
Whitesnake – Love Ain’t No Stranger
February 10, 2016 at 6:06 pm #463383You should use the vox from my version of “I Touch Myself” for yours. Downloaded your version assuming you might have already done that.
Just do me a favor and PM me if you wind up doing that, trying to get more songs for MAGfest in about a week.

February 13, 2016 at 3:23 pm #463504Hey there Rockers,
Happy Saturday! Welcome back to the Funhouse! This week, Sy and I are celebrating Valentine’s Day with the Community. These songs aren’t actually all love songs, some are love-gone-bad songs, not all love is good love. We hope you enjoy these great songs. Let’s get right to them.

Release Notes
This week, my choices are some really great tracks. These are songs I had planned for a while, and have been on the back burner waiting for today.
Whitesnake – Love Ain’t No Stranger is from my favorite Whitesnake album. I loved the US version of the Slide It In album. This one is a real treat.
Chris Cornell – I Nearly Forgot My Broken Heart was probably my favorite song released in 2015. His solo work is every bit as good as Soundgarden and Audioslave. Check this one out — you won’t be sorry, it’s a great one.
James Blunt – You’re Beautiful was super overplayed when it was new. Now, years later I can appreciate it much more. It is a great song. This is the album version so the Mature tag is no mistake. If you never have heard the album version, you may be shocked when an F-Bomb flies high.

February 15, 2016 at 9:16 pm #463618Hey there Rockers,
Happy Monday! Once again, it is time for your clues to this week’s release. We have a sweet bunch of tracks for you and hopefully the hints are just as fun as the songs will be. You peeps rocked it last week and got every one, great work!!! Let’s see if you can do it again.
Hint for song #1 – To start things off this week, we have one of the coolest 70’s one-hit-wonders. It was actually a cover song. Speaking of covers, this song was covered 30 years later and was a hit again, this time as a duet. We did the 70’s artist, by the way.
Hint for song #2 – This song is a cover. The original came about because an executive’s son couldn’t remember his multiplication tables, yet could remember all the lyrics to Beatles songs. That’s right, this song will teach you something. The band who did this cover was named after a Cheech & Chong character.
Hint for song #3 – Once again, we have a super-group, this time, the band was named after the studio where they recorded their album. The song was the band’s second Billboard top ten hit. Actually the song was competing in the chart with a song from one of the member’s original band.
Hint for song #4 – Our next track has the curious case of the artist being sued for plagiarizing his own music. Is it a crime to write a song that sounds like it is yours? This Billboard top ten hit came from this artist’s comeback album, it had been nearly 10 years since his last record.
Hint for song #5 – Next up, we have the first single for this American singer/songwriter. The song is from his multi-platinum debut album. This song was co-written by a bandmate from a prior band. This guy has been linked romantically to several famous actresses and entertainers.
Hint for song #6 – This last artist was the guitarist for a huge alternative band for five studio albums. He has worked with tons of great bands. This week we have a solo track from this artist. It comes from his 2004 album.
Good luck! Have a great week, we’ll see ya Saturday!!!

February 15, 2016 at 9:32 pm #463621#3: Get it On (Bang a Gong) – The Power Station
February 15, 2016 at 9:34 pm #463622#4 – John Fogerty – The Old Man Down The Road
February 15, 2016 at 10:24 pm #463624#5 – John Mayer: No Such Thing
#6 is most likely from John Frusciante, but good luck guessing the song without a better hint – he released 3 albums in 2004
