November 24, 2015 at 5:23 pm #459764Hint #3 – Ray Charles and Wilie Nelson – Seven Spanish Angels
November 24, 2015 at 8:38 pm #459777Hint for song #1 – Our first track this week is from a second-generation artist. This song is one of this artist’s signature songs. This timeless classic champions the rural way of life.
Arlo Guthrie – “City of New Orleans”
Hint for song #2 – This next band mixed rock, pop and country to be one of the best selling bands ever. This band has many accolades including Bob Hope Humanitarian award and a star on the Hollywood Walk of Fame. This song was a number one country hit, in fact it was the band’s 14th #1 Country single in a row.
I’m inclined to agree this is Alabama, so I’ll defer to those who have already guessed.
Hint for song #3 – These two legends got together to make an album. When the smoke cleared, they gave us this new classic song with a catchy play on words.
Eric Clapton and B.B. King – “Riding with the King”
That’s all I got.

Release Notes
This week the country legends pack were my picks. A long while back I told the Spindoctor I would try to get some country going.
It took quite some time, but I think these tracks should fill a hole in the RB library.
Hank Williams Jr. is a country legend, as was his father before him. This outlaw country track is very RB worthy.
Alabama is one of the biggest-selling bands ever, from any style music. This song was super-fun to play. Yee-hawww!!!
It’s All Going to Pot is a great collaboration between country legends. It is a fun track, especially if you have a “green mind” like these guys.
This week was Thanksgiving here in America. I’m super thankful for the cool people here at C3 forums. I consider many of you my friends. When my life has been exceedingly tough this forum has provided me with caring people to talk to. In fact, if it wasn’t for the Spindoctor being such a cool dude this country pack would not even exist. To go further if it weren’t for Farottone and Sy, I’m certain I would not be typing this right now. Thank you guys!!!!! It is at a level of importance to me that I won’t ever be able to express with a written thank you. You Rock !!!!!

November 28, 2015 at 5:10 pm #459929One big “Merci” come from France
November 28, 2015 at 5:39 pm #459931This week’s stuff was pretty awesome, and that’s coming from someone who isn’t a huge country fan.
Run to You has full harmonies, pitched, with the exception of the rapping verses. The bass part on this one is great, it was sampled from Daddy Cool by Boney M, and has a ton of chords all throughout. It’s very catchy, and should be great to play, even if you don’t understand the lyrics.
Shinobi vs. Dragon Ninja is fairly well-known, I think. I made a chart of this particular version way back when in 2013, but it was my worst chart I’ve ever done, so remaking it really meant a lot to me. This particular version was before the album was released, so it doesn’t have any of the DJ effects or weird vocal mixing, (I think it’s a bit weird-sounding, that’s just me) and is effectively an extended version.
God Promised a Paradise was an anonymous request, and I’m glad whoever requested it did, since the song kicks serious ass. It’s very catchy glam metal, and has a pretty technical guitar solo. The drum work is also surprisingly varied for glam metal, and is fun to play as well.
Like Nunchuck said, we hope everyone has a great Thanksgiving, and got to spend plenty of time with friends and family. I’m very thankful that I’ve met so many great people on this site and sites like it who have supported me the whole way through. I’m also thankful that I have such a great opportunity for bringing awesome songs to the community each week.
Thank you for being supportive of our work, and you guys continue to blow us away each week with how much of that support you give. Thank you to everyone on C3, we have lots of love for all of you.
Thank you so much.
November 28, 2015 at 7:35 pm #459938Awesome!
Shinobi vs. Dragon Ninja used to be on constant repeat when I played ATV Offroad Fury 2 along with Parade and Courage lol
also that’s funny there’s a hair metal band named Masi to go with my solo project named Masi Masi haha
November 29, 2015 at 2:48 am #459956Well finally you guys put out some good tunes ” src=”/wp-content/uploads/invision_emoticons/default_SA_cheeky.001.gif” /> ” src=”/wp-content/uploads/invision_emoticons/default_SA_cheeky.001.gif” /> . Just kidding, you guys are awesome. I can honestly say I probably wouldn’t still be playing today if it wasn’t for the tunes you share with us. The variety & the quality of the charts is second to none. I look forward to Saturdays & what you will share with us. Thank you for that & I hope you never tire of providing us with such great tunes for a long time to come.
Happy Thanksgiving to all!!
November 29, 2015 at 1:59 pm #459972The Alabama song is a guilty pleasure of mine. Thanks!
November 29, 2015 at 2:47 pm #459976Thanks for another awesome week guys.
Very good stuff. Not big on country music.
But any song named ( It’s all going to Pot ) I have to try! lol ” src=”/wp-content/uploads/invision_emoticons/default_SA_smile.gif” />
My Father was a big Merle Haggard fan….. So I know this song well ………
Thanks again !
November 30, 2015 at 10:51 pm #460062Hey there Rockers,
We hope you all had a great weekend. It is Monday and time for a new batch of hints for our next release.
Hint for song #1 – Our first track this week was a b-side to a popular single. It was added to the re-issue of the album the single came from after re-mixing. This band is super popular world-wide and has been featured in official Harmonix DLC.
Hint for song #2 -Our second track this week, is a track from a duo’s first studio album. It has the shortest song title on the album. Like all of the tracks this week, we at the Funhouse have never done a track by this popular band.
Hint for song #3 -This week’s next track comes from a popular metal band that has been around since the 1970’s. The song is featured on an album that was actually a project by the singer and session musicians, but the record company wouldn’t release it unless it was sold as an album by the band. This is the anthem-y opening track to that album.
Hint for song #4 -A popular classic rock artist had a top 40 hit with this track from the late 70’s. The song was actually written by the band’s bass player. This is the second time we have released a song with this title.
Hint for song #5 – This band is one of the most popular bands ever. There are many tracks by this band in the game already, but one more will never hurt. This track is from the band’s 7th studio album.
Hint for song #6 -Our final track this week is from the 9th studio album by this band. This was the first album with a new vocalist, after the last singer became the band’s business manager and gave up the vocalist job.
Good luck, we’ll see ya Saturday!!!
