    4. Eric Clapton perhaps? or even Billy Preston

    #459411

Hint for song #3 – This next song is from a teen heart-throb that was a singer and an actor, as well as being a poster on many a girl’s wall. This top ten hit came from this artist’s second album. Like many young stars, his life would be a series of drug-related problems.

I feel like I should know this!

Hint for song #5 – This band has quite a few tracks in RB, this one is from their 5th studio album. Sadly, it is the last album with this line-up due to tragedy.

Great week guys! dlauthor and FujiSkunk got Love is Alive in the same minute, that is a first for our hints. Thank you guys!

Here is a little something about the three tracks that I picked this week:

Little Green Bag was actually titled ‘Little Green Back’, but somehow the record company misprinted the single and shipped it. It became a hit under the wrong name. It was featured in the opening credits sequence in Quentin Tarantino’s Reservoir Dogs.

Brother Louie by Stories is a cover of a Hot Chocolate song. The Hot Chocolate version had a spoken word section that featured the racially charged words honky and spook. Stories covered it altering it slightly (removing that section plus another verse) and got a number 1 hit out of this classic. This one will get stuck in your head.

I Was Made for Dancin’ was a big hit for Leif Garrett. He was a teenage heart-throb. It is a catchy dance song with everything it needs to be a riot in RB.

We hope you enjoy these tracks. We will return soon with more hints and songs for you to rock!

This was a week I wasn’t too sure about going in, but all my uncertainties flew out the window once we were done. Every track this week is amazing in my eyes, and very representative of a great era of music that I sadly wasn’t even close to being around for.

Anyhoo, Politicians in My Eyes is brutal on drums, even though there’s not a ton of variation, they never let up, and there’s only a bit of breathing room between the insanely fast beats you’re playing. Bass also stands out, with very fun and fast HO/PO runs, and plenty of variation during the seemingly endless bridge.

I Know a Little is a great Lynyryd Skynyrd track, probably my favorite, and there’s enough instumental variation to keep anyone satisfied. It’s an insanely fun and challenging track on every instrument, guaranteed to give your fingers a workout.

Love Is Alive is another great song, and purists out there might realize that the song doesn’t actually have any guitar or bass, but it has two very guitar and bass-esque synth parts, so those are charted to their respective instruments. Drums feature an interesting disco beat with some variation and quick back-to-back bass hits.

Every track stands out as great to me this week, and you can bet more tracks like these will come out in the near future.

Awesome week of songs as always!
