Hey there Rockers,
It is time to put on your thinking caps. It is hint time again. This is a special week to me. We have some real cool stuff for you. Ok, let the guessing begin.
Hint to song #1
This 60’s one hit wonder’s smash hit reached #1 in Uk and Canada and #2 in the US. Prodigy once sampled this song. This is one of my best friend’s favorite songs. Saturday would have been his birthday. This one is for him. I miss you brother.
Hint to song #2
This hard rock band enlisted the help of a good doobie to write this song. It was the second single from a multi-platinum album that sold more than 13 million copies.
Hint to song #3
This classic 70’s ballad has been covered by Tina Turner, Etta James and Tori Amos to name a few. It has also appeared in popular movies and TV, including Californication and Rob Zombie’s Halloween remake.
Hint to song #4
This song was produced by Mick Jagger, who was influential in the signing of this band. We have the first track from this song’s album already, now we will have the last.
Hint to song #5
A Swiss band, that were roadies for another band, went on to record this thrash masterpiece. They are often compared to another 3 piece band from a different genre.
Hint to song #6
This punk rock band has recorded 12 studio albums, splitting time between a number of famous independent record labels such as Lookout! Records and Fat Wreck Chords. This track comes from their best selling album and shares it name with a snake god.
We hope you have fun these hints. Remember to try to give full answers. Enjoy
Rock out… Life is short.
February 24, 2015 at 12:35 am #439134I hope #1 is “Fire” by Arthur Brown. Would love to sing that one.
Songs 2 & 3 will suit me just fine as well as I’ve put out multiple customs from both bands. Can’t wait!
I’ve got solid guesses for the other three, but don’t want to ruin the fun for everyone else.
February 24, 2015 at 1:20 am #439140Screeching Weasel for Hint 6 but I can’t think of the song.
February 24, 2015 at 1:27 am #439142Screeching Weasel for Hint 6 but I can’t think of the song.If I am on the right track, C3 released a song with the same title by a female fronted band from Europe.

The Screeching Weasel part sounds right (thx Sideshow), but the only one that I can think of is “Kamala’s Too Nice”, which I believe is the name of a snake goddess, but I could be way off.

I thought the song would be off of “Bark Like a Dog” because wiki hinted that as being their highest selling album. I just don’t see a song off of that album that resembles a snake goddess.
February 25, 2015 at 1:18 am #439247#2: Van Halen – I’ll Wait
(co-written by Doobie Brothers singer Michael McDonald)
February 25, 2015 at 1:32 am #439248I thought the song would be off of “Bark Like a Dog” because wiki hinted that as being their highest selling album.Wiki says the same thing about another one of their albums. That wouldn’t be the first time wikipedia is inconsistent.
February 25, 2015 at 6:33 pm #439278#5 is Coroner. Maybe either Masked Jackal or Die By My Hand?
