1. Space Lord- Monster Magnet    …again I can’t place the ‘lurking in the deep dark night’ clue with anything so another wild guess

Monster Magnet is far from being considered a gloom metal band IMO (they are considered more “stoner rock/hard rock”), so I don’t see that one being it.

 

But “lurking in the deep dark night”…my take on that, likely Vampires (which is what Type O Negative was known for “pretending to be” and even singing like…and they are a gloom/doom metal band).  ” src=”/wp-content/uploads/invision_emoticons/default_SA_wink.gif” />

Not sure if I’m right…we’ll see.
