July 27, 2015 at 3:17 pm #451333Lots of good choices here once again…unfortunately, the unpitched vocals is a deal-breaker.
I too usually only get songs with pitched vocals but I have found, because of the great community here, most of the big songs that are released on this thread that I want usually get pitched vocals within a week or two of releasing.
July 27, 2015 at 3:36 pm #451335Nunchuck and I really don’t play vocals often. We leave the talkies in because it kind of kills the immersion to see the vocalist standing around the whole time while you can hear vocals in the song. I think most people would agree that having talkies is better than nothing, so that’s good enough for us.
We put all the effort in the world (well, maybe not) into charting the instruments as well as we can, so it sucks if people don’t want to download because of no vocals or no pro keys or something, but that’s their prerogative, and I’m the same way about vocals, honestly, even if I don’t always play them.
I’m not great at charting vocals, either, I chart them with 3 instances of EoF open like a wild animal, but I haven’t gotten much feedback, so I’m assuming everything so far is ok. Probably. But yeah, we’d do vocals if it wasn’t so time-consuming, not even mentioning that 6 songs in a week is pretty time-consuming as it is, and I don’t have the sanity to do vocals for every song we do, even though I would in a perfect world.
All things considered, if no vocals is an issue, then nobody should have any problem downloading any of the instrumentals we’ve done, those all have perfectly charted vocals. ” src=”/wp-content/uploads/invision_emoticons/default_SA_cheeky.001.gif” />

I’m in the same boat as some others (wife sings vocals, have to be pitched to download), but am incredibly grateful for all the work you guys have put in. Your efforts keep the community thriving, inspire others to chart, and provide opportunities for folks like Dash to step in occasionally to provide pitched vocals and harmonies, too. Keep up the great work.
July 27, 2015 at 8:07 pm #451363First off you two do as much for this community as just about anyone on here that are creators of tunes. It saddens me to see people say they won’t download cause of non pitched vocals, yes in a perfect world they would be pitched. I think if they took the time to learn how it’s done & the time it takes to do it there attitude towards them might change. The charts you two make are really fun to play & not just the expert levels, the lower levels as well. That and the fact you make tunes for many different genres/styles is fantastic, every week I get at least 2 to 3 tunes that are my kind of music. People don’t realize what they are missing when they don’t download your tunes because of being non pitched vocals. You guys have provided me & my group with hundreds of hours of fun free of charge so I say keep them coming as is. Thank you for all you have done for us.
July 27, 2015 at 9:36 pm #451369Hey there Rockers,
Happy Monday, we hope it hasn’t been too much of a drag for you. Well, maybe a little trivia fun will help make it seem a little better. Let’s see how you do this week.
Hint for song #1 – The first song this week comes from a Rock and Roll Hall of Famer. I’m happy to see this artist make his RB debut. This jazzy song was the theme song to a wildly popular HBO series.
Hint for song #2 – This cover of a funky classic, is brought to us by a band that has had a ton of RB releases. Now, this cover can join the original in RB. Thank you Beavis & Butthead.
Hint for song #3 – The next track is a track that is one of my favorites from the old Guitar Hero games. The video for this song actually featured Apollonia, who just a few years later, would go on to be a co-star in the film Purple Rain.
Hint for song #4 – The next song is one of two from this artist, this week. It comes from a very 80’s sounding album. It was a very different album due to record company obligations that kept the album from having songs written by a longtime collaborator who created classic albums with this artist.
Hint for song #5 – The next track is a cover of a song from the play and film Hedwig and the Angry Inch, with adapted lyrics to reflect this artist’s life and Texas.
Hint for song #6 – This Australian progressive heavy metal band takes it’s name from this Queen in the film Conan the Destroyer. This is the second track from their debut album.
Thank you for playing along. Come back Saturday and see how well you did. While you’re here, grab some new tracks.

This week brings the first appearance of Tom Waits and I am thrilled. I was very curious how a Jazzy track with no drums would play. The answer was that it was super cool. It felt very Jazz band. When we started these Meatloaf songs, I had not heard them. They were both very good and fun to play. They were everything I could have hoped for in a Meatloaf track. If you like Meatloaf, please give these a chance you will probably dig them a lot, I did. This week also bring Eddie Money – Shakin’, which I have been wanting for a long time. It finally came up in the schedule. Love Rollercoaster is awesome and funky fun. We also brought you Taramis, if you were looking for something challenging. All in all, it turned out to be a great week, we hope you enjoy these tracks as much as we did.
