Hey, I appreciate the faith in me but I’ve been wrong loads of times and I’m not confident about “The Letter”. It’s one of a few possible but me choosing it specifically is more of a case of wishful thinking I guess. I wouldn’t bank on it. That said, I’m 99% sure that Hey Hey My My and Let My Love Open the Door are correct guesses and I’m pretty sure I’ve got #6.

Hey there Rockers,

It is Monday and that means it is time for some trivia. This week the awesome will continue. Let’s see who has the big brains this week. Lately it has been 50/50, I have faith you guys will rock these clues

 

Hint for song #1 – This film soundtrack song flopped, as did the movie. Then in 1984, the movie hit HBO and home video and became successful, as did this song. The song winded up selling over 4 million copies and was a top ten hit after the record company re-released the soundtrack.

 

Hint for song #2 – This artist was just recently inducted into the Rock n Roll Hall of Fame for his second time, this time as a solo artist. This catchy hit is his first solo appearance in RB.

 

Hint for song #3 – This 70’s classic is my Father’s day dedication to my Dad. This is my first Father’s day since his passing. We used to listen to the album, this song is the title track to, a lot over the years. A framed version of this album used to hang on the set wall of Mindy’s apartment in the TV show Mork & Mindy.

 

Hint for song #4 – This Thrash metal track explains the mascot of this iconic American thrash band. The song had a working title of “Self Destruct”, while working on their debut release. It’s lyrics feature the occult, torture and black magic.

 

Hint for song #5 – This instrumental track was part of a sequel album to a super popular 70’s album. The song title is part of the album title. Yep, we did that again.

 

Hint for song #6 – This song, by a band returning to our customs , is part of an album of demos. This song has a strange title that matched the odd avante-garde metal track. Strange and fun is how I would describe this track.
