Hey there Rockers,
It is Monday again and that means it is time to test your music trivia knowledge with the hints for our upcoming release. We have a great week planned for you. I’ll get right to the hints.

 

Hint for Song #1
Our first song this week shares it’s name with one of my favorite films. The song is actually a cover of a song from 1950. It had big success when recorded by a crooner in the early 50’s. The version we did is a very famous and popular rendition from the early 60’s. It reached #1 on the Billboard chart.

 

Hint for Song #2
Next up, we have a song by one of the most popular female artists ever. This song ended up being this artist’s second #1 Billboard hit. It also garnered her first Grammy nomination. It was originally on a film soundtrack but was later available on this artist’s first greatest hits compilation.

 

Hint for Song #3
I’m very happy to bring our next song to RB. This impressive act had a song for RBN, which was awesome by the way. This act is always in costume and even has a fictional back story. This track was on the band’s first album, as was their RBN track. The song is a fitting one, considering their fictitious back story and the future they bring.

 

Hint for Song #4
In the clean-up spot, we have a band led by a singer from reality TV. The band has Official DLC. This band won American Music Awards and at the awards ceremony they performed this track. This song caused a bit of legal controversy, as the singer’s old band claimed to be partly responsible for this track and a few others. The singer denies they had anything to do with it.

 

Hint for Song #5
Our next track this week, was a Billboard #1 pop song and #5 on the Hot 100. The artist is part of a famed rapper’s backing band. This song was his first of two solo hits, the other being a cover of a song that we did the original version for here at the Funhouse. This song was a worldwide hit, charting in the Top 3 in the US, UK, Austria, Australia, New Zealand and Switzerland.

 

Hint for Song #6
Our final track this week is a One-Hit-Wonder. The song is a combination of calypso, rock and pop. It is a great song, but unfortunately, the artist passed away from an accidental gunshot wound. It is assumed the accident happened while cleaning his gun, as those close to him didn’t believe suicide to be the cause.
