We had another great week with the hints. “The Big Brains” dominated my trivia clues. We had another full rack of correct answers.
We also saw that the memory goes first when we age. Great job Doc! ” src=”/wp-content/uploads/invision_emoticons/default_SA_cheeky.001.gif” />

September 19, 2016 at 8:32 pm #475125Hey there Rockers,
Welcome back to the Funhouse! This week’s upcoming release will be special to me. My 19th wedding anniversary is September 27. 19 years with the love of my life, that deserves a few at least somewhat romantic songs as my picks. So with out further ado, ladies and gentlemen start those brains up. Here are your clues…Hint for song #1
So why not lead this week off with one of the greatest soul singers of all time with a romantic, sexually-charged classic. This song topped both the Pop and Soul charts. This Rock and Roll Hall of Fame inductee makes his Funhouse debut with a song that has been in so many movies and TV shows it is crazy.Hint for song #2
How do you follow a great song like that? Well, you follow it with a song that has been often requested, from a very popular band. The song is the 4th single from this band’s 6th album. This Billboard top ten song is the unofficial anthem of Magpies. Once again the romantic nature of this song makes it fit this week perfectly.Hint for song #3
As the third pick, I picked one of my favorites artists doing a song that was from one of the all time greatest albums. This artist is very well represented at the Funhouse. The song was the 5th and final single from this landmark album, at least in the US. The other 4 have already appeared in the Funhouse.Hint for song #4
In the 4th slot, we have a band that hails from the same place as the artist of song #3. The song is the second single from this band’s sixth studio album. The song was written about the first first Gulf War although it still applies to a lot of today’s world. This song was one of a string of successful singles from this band’s 3X platinum album.Hint for song #5
The song we have next is a Billboard top ten hit, reaching as high as #6 on the Hot 100, and #1 on the Mainstream top 40 charts. This New York rock outfit had 3 independent albums before releasing their mainstream debut album, for which this song was the lead single. The song was quite popular and even was part of the ‘Now That’s What I Call Music’ compilation series.Hint for song #6
In the last of this week’s tracks, we have an alternative band from Liverpool with the first single from their eponymous debut album in America and Canada. It is actually very tricky. This song was released as a single in the UK before that album was made, only it had its title switched around from the way it was in the US and Canada. In the UK, their follow-up single was the bigger hit, but in the North America the song we did was their biggest hit.Good luck everyone. Show us those “Big Brains” and cement your place in the Hints Hall of Fame.
We so appreciate you guys rockin’ these hints every week. Go get ’em!!!
