I think the band’s been nailed already, but I’m guessing “Junior’s Farm” by Wings for #4.

The clue fits, but “Junior’s Farm” (as well as “Hi Hi Hi”) are already in the Customs db.

I was thinking “Mull of Kintyre”, but that single never hit top 5 in the U.S.

And “C Moon” fits all the clues exactly.

Oh, #1 is “Leave the Pieces” by the Wreckers (Michelle Branch recorded “The Game of Love” with Santana; Jessica Harp became a full-time songwriter)

#3 is “La La” by Ashlee Simpson. (Really?)

            Working on the last one…

#4 Live and Let Die – Wings here’s hoping

#4 Live and Let Die – Wings here’s hoping

“Live and Let Die” charted higher than #5 (in the U.S.).

To be fair, the hint says it was ‘a top 5 hit’ not that it was a #5 hit.

C Moon hit #5 exactly in the UK, but didn’t chart at all in the US. Not sure that makes a difference though.

#4 Goodnight Tonight by the Wings

You’re right. In that case I got nothin’.

This is why I decided to throw in a second guess (without checking the DB first, obviously). The UK singles chart isn’t actually maintained by Billboard.

Seeing as how the clue was “Top 5″…it might actually be “Live and Let Die” (fits the clue).

                        Hint for Song #4

                        – This next song was a Top 5 Billboard hit for this band. The band is the second very popular band for its leader, the first was probably the most popular band ever. The song was only released as a single and wasn’t released on an album until it appeared on a greatest hits-type compilation.”

Interestingly, “Live and Let Die” appeared on the official soundtrack to “Live and Let Die” (the James Bond film), though…which would seemingly disqualify it based on the wording of the clue.

                        I have to admit…I’m stumped.

I can see why you’d think that but I believe the hint was referring to a Paul McCartney & Wings album rather than any album ever.

That’s either Live And Let Die or C Moon.

                          Release Notes

This week I picked a ladies 3 pack with 3 completely different styles. All 3 are very fun to play!

First we have the Wreckers, a country-pop duo consisting of Michelle Branch and Jessica Harp. This track is a catchy fun song with a stick in your head type vocals.

Next Purson, a modern day psychedelic rock band. Its cool guitar sound and “trippy” vocals make this one of the coolest songs of this year so far.

Finally, Ashlee Simpson… Say what you want but this song is fun and high energy. If you don’t want to play it, it’s ok, we won’t force you to have fun. <img decoding=” src=”/wp-content/uploads/invision_emoticons/default_SA_cheeky.001.gif” />

Also this week Larger Than Life was one of the most fun songs ever. Great pick Sy!!!

We had 4 “Big Brains” this week. Very good!!

I’m not sure who got La La first so I’ll give it to both of you this week.

We will return soon with more from the Funhouse. have a great weekend! See ya soon!!!
