Hey there Rockers,

Welcome to the Funhouse. It is the weekend and that means it is time for another 6 selections. Plus, this week the Colonel upgraded one of our most popular customs.This week our choices look like the I-Pod-from-Hell, but everything this week is awesome in one way or another. We have a classic song from a beloved artist, slow jams (both new and old), a jazzy classic rock hit, a new wave duet and a crossover ode to Clint Eastwood. Quite a week, I must say! We try very hard to cover all sorts of musical genres. Our pleasure comes not only from doing the big hits everyone knows, but from doing songs that some will be thrilled to see something so different in their favorite game. Here we go…

Release Notes

This week my choices were all of the slower variety and the guitar is kind of sparse. These are great songs, don’t be fooled!

First up, a classic David Bowie song. This one has no guitar at all and is one of Bowie’s most loved songs. A great collaboration with Jimi… Thanks Jimi!!!

Next, Christopher Cross – Arthur’s Theme (The Best You Can Do). This song is often know for the lyrics Caught Between the Moon and New York City. For many it will be one of those “Oh that song” moments.

My third pick has been stuck in my head for months. One of my favorite songs ever is Chris Isaak – Wicked Game. In fact, it played at my wedding reception. This is a re-imagining of that song. It is no longer a love song but a song of betrayal. Young Wicked uses a seriously haunting singing voice that just digs into my brain. Young Wicked is a newer member of the Psychopathic Records label, famous for ICP and other Juggalo acts. I urge to check it out, it is among the best songs I’ve heard this year.
